McCreary Central 50 East Jessamine 49

IMO he is not built like a "beast", but a rather athletic guard who shoots the ball extremely well for a 9th grader. -
Thanks, hope he gets healthy soon.

Monticello 87 Williamsburg 79
The Breeze replied to SouthernSportsFan's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
When I first saw this post I figured the game was at Monticello, this was a game Wburg should have won at home. I watched them eariler in the year and felt like they were much better than last year. They need to take care of their home court againest teams like Monticello. -
South Laurel vs Corbin Predictions

If Knox Central was a difficult place for the Hounds to play at (and I guess it was) this atmosphere wil be alot tougher. IMO the Cards should roll by 15 or more. -
Lynn Camp 87 Whitley County 84

I have not watched Whitley this year, but from what I have heard and remeber about his teams at Corbin, he is a top notch coach. The situation at Whitley could not improve as much as many would want this year unless he was able to bring in 4 or 5 real players, if he stays things will improve alot in the next few years. If he moved about 30 miles north and coached next year at the above mentioned school which has many players in that system, watch out. Would make sense, along with Clay they would rule that district, and when you can get to the region anything can happen. -
I know alot of times Lynn Camp can be out of control, but after their last two games both wins they should be the favorite Monday IMO and will be playing at B'ville on Tues. Didn't they stay within 4 or 5 with the Lions at Pineville the frist time they meet. This time they are at home and on a roll, could win by more than 10.

Congrats to LC on this win they deserved it, but what in the world is going on at Jackson Co. they have to much talent to be around .500 or below with the type of team they have there.
-
Man not a good road win, a great road win! The Mt. Lions better watch out for real on Monday. LC must have still be rolling from the second half againest Whitley on Thur. Hard to believe both teams only scored in the 50's, but a type of game LC needed to win.

That what I'm talking about a rematch would be fun, Clay is a great place to play IMO, if you can win you know you have done something. -
What grade is Devin in I not heard much from him this year? Crawford will really have to be a 100% for Corbin to play well as the season goes on. What seems to be his problem? Knee or ankle, I have heard both.

Way to go MC a very good road win. Watts continues to shoot the rock with moxie. -
South Laurel 58 Paintsville 57

Another good win for the Cards againest a decent team. Playing and winning, sometimes losing, to these type teams outside the region will help South to continue dominate the 13th. They may go down a little next year but should be alot better than many think. They have a great coaching staff who will reload next year. -

I agree he needs to get on the field and play somewhere, but being the backup I dobut he will go there, he is just an injury away from being the man. Go Big Kat Daddy! -

With all thats going on with their program(whatever it is) North seems to have banded together and is playing well. Coach Conway is doing a very good job. To bad this district does not seed, a repeat of this game would make a great distirict final. -
Fear 'Les' 13th Regional Rankings Jan. 18 - Jan. 24

Did Pineville draw a bye? I think they will have a hard time getting past Lynn Camp just to play KC or B'ville. -

Didn't these two play in the preseason? If so, what was the outcome there? -
Who has the easiest path to the Sweet 16
The Breeze replied to Gumbo Daddy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Why does the location really matter in this case South should be able to roll in this region. Corbin will be an excellent host for this event. -
Coach Phipps is probley not to happy to be playing the Panthers in their new gym, sell-out crowd, trip to the region, bragging rights, etc. all rolled into one, when he can't use the underdog role after their win a couple of weeks ago. Should be fun, I can't wait.

I don't know why anyone would have a hard time with a team that can come back from 23 down to win, they nearly came back againest B'ville in the second half of that game,I watched that one, very exciting. You know the truth does hurt sometimes, With better defense the cats would not put themselves in the behind 20 plus holes and have to fight to comeback. By the way their main man and 2nd or 3rd leading scorer in the region (Bargo) is not homegrown but from Knox Central, a great pickup IMO. -
I watched both the KC and B'ville games with Pineville. KC beat them and they beat a shorthanded Bville squad. I can't see the Mt. Lions winning two nights in a row on the road. What seems to be the problem that causes them to be struggling?

Wow this must have been one heck of a second half comeback for LC. I don't know about a solid program at LC but they have blended the several transfers over the last few years to the rest of the team fairly well. What happened to the two 11th graders they had last year that started most of the games? With these two to go along with Bargo, Mithchell, and Knuckles the Cats could average about 85 to 90 points a game, but they may give up about that many on D as well. Good comeback for the cats tonight.
