After seeing tape of JH, the 5A game looks like it could be a high scoring track meet, with one mistake making the difference.

You should try working around here with the fans from dozens of area schools. Especially when it is your team wearing the bullseye every year.

These are kids though and head games can be powerful stuff. I talked to a young man from Owensboro a few years ago that played against Highlands for the championship a couple of years earlier. He said they came into the game pumped, believing they could take down the Birds. O'boro kicked off to start the game and Highlands took the kick to the house. He said that you could feel the air being let out of the balloon on the sideline and that the confidence level dropped like a rock. When a newcomer steps on the field with a traditional power, like it or not, there is "that feeling".

Rumor is...Henry has rented a box truck and several very large x-football players. They will be kidnapping anyone they see walking between here and Bowling Green, throwing them in the truck, painting their faces blue and white and dressing them in Highlands cheer leading outfits. Just stand at the intersection of I-71 & I-65 and she WILL:scared: get you.

IMVHO...The big difference in attendance for the "BIG GAME" will be the fringe Louisville area fan. The true T & X fans will be there in their usual numbers. It's the fans and students of the OTHER Louisville schools that would be at the game if it were in the Ville, because it is all about the event. The Central, Male, Manual, etc. fans won't make the BG trip. It is only my guess, but that probably accounts for many thousands staying home. The X vs T game is always an event, be it played during the regular season or for all the marbles. The game is what counts, I really don't care how much money the KHSAA gets.

My favorite was the one when after PC took possession of the ball on their 35 after the Highlands kick off went out of bounds. I guess it was after a 3rd down play that the ball was spotted 6 or so inches shy of the 45. They brought out the chains. Why? If it wasn't touching the 45 it wasn't a first down...No chains needed here.:idunno:
