  1. Exactly how well is welfare, disability and food stamps paying that you could pay $120 for one pill, am sure an addict would have to have more than one pill a month?

They steal anything they can get their hands on. A lot of welfare recipients live with family members and lie on their paperwork to make it look as if they are the only provider or live on their own. There are also those that sell pills for another dealer and are paid in pills. Addicts are the world's best at working the system and getting every penny they can get. A lot of time with the help of some bleeding heart social worker that is just trying to "save the world." It is easier to get welfare benefits than it is for a laid-off worker to get the unemployment due him that his employer has had to pay into the system for.

  2. I don't think drinking Mountain Dew as an teenager up is bad for you, but from the womb may be another story. Thought Mountain Dew got a bad rap on this show, am certain candy for lunch and supper, sweet cereal, etc. played a large part also.

Another thing is the lack of public/city water systems in the hills. City water has flouride added to it. Most of these communities rely on well water with no additives. If the government really wanted to help these folks, they would cut loose with some money to put in public water projects. It would increase the health of the residents in the affected areas, plus provide some good paying construction jobs.

  3. Ashland was much more active and aggressive on defense tonight and it really showed. Mike Terry was impressive w/24 for the Hill

It seemed to me that only Ashland was allowed to play aggressive defense. I haven't seen any stats, but I would like to know the # of fouls called on both teams. Other than that, kudos to the Ashland kids for playing a complete game and getting a quality win.

  4. Sandusky, OH was mentioned earlier. Near there is East Harbor State Park. Great place! It has a public beach on Lake Erie that is very clean and has a lot of fun. The weather there in May is just starting to get warm, but it gets cool in the evenings. Nice beach trip without the huge crowds on the coast. Lake Erie has a tide that comes in and out just like the ocean. Also, Marblehead Light House is very close. It is something neat to see.

Another trip into Ohio is the Amish country. Millersburg in Holmes County has lots to do. And if you are into the baskets, the Longaberger factory has public tours, along with all the shops in Dresden. These are a couple of different ideas that I believe you guys would enjoy.

  5. If I was him, I would be a nervous wreck, too, knowing the position he is taking.

As GW said, for the next 4 years, you are NEVER the President of the US.

Imagine your job. Imagine now that you are at that job, 24/7, 365 1/4 days a year. Even when you are asleep, you are on the job and ready to be awaken in a moment.

Off topic, but this should make everyone that lives in rural communities thankful for their volunteer fire fighters.

  6. In this non-sex symbol category, I would have to lump several of the FOX NEWS babes as my vote. Megan Kelly has great legs. Jane Skinner has girl-next-door qualities. Martha McCallum is just all-around hot. And Gretchen Carlson competed for Miss America as Miss Minnesota. Throw in a few back-ups like Ainsley Earhart and Alison Camarato(sp), and it's party time.:dancingpa

  7. I nominate Rachel Ray. Not only is she attractive (not in a sex symbol way)and rich, but she can cook too. Not foo-foo french cooking, but big sandwiches and fried stuff.

If you don't think RR is a sex symbol, you need to google her FHM photos. I didn't know cooking could be so hard.

  8. Jody Demling's Blog : Class of 2012 , Freshman

    15. Devan Rowan, North Oldham

According to the blog he has seen 'almost every one' of these guys play. Congrats to all.

Demling needs to get out more. I would put Gregg or Terry from Rose Hill against several of these boys. I'm sure they are all good players, but this list is not indicitive of the talent in the complete state.

  9. Serious juvenile crime hit a peak in 93/94 and has gone down since according to the FBI.

Crime statistics can be altered to favor the needs of the group presenting them. I'm not saying this is the case here. But I would challenge this with the knowledge that the total # of these crimes has climbed, along with a greater percentage of them going unsolved. Since you can't prove who did something, you can't specifically lump it as a juvenile crime, even though it was most likely committed by a youth. Kids are becoming better/smarter thugs.
