  1. First things first, congrats to O$U. You turned over the ball 3 times to our none and still found a way to get it done. You deserve it. However, I cannot stand when officiating decides games. Let the player's decide it, this was too good of a game for this call to happen, keep the flag in the pocket. There is NO penalty for helmet to helmet contact in college football, unlike professional football. So that argument is invalid. I'm searching for a picture, but I did look at it again on DVR and Troy Smith is clearly in bounds. Late you say? I don't think so, and I especially don't think you make THAT call in THAT situation. It was borderline at best. However, that call alone didn't decide the game, and UM had plenty of shots to win it. I just didn't care for the timing of the call. Hats off to o$U. I continue to pray that the best 2 teams in the land will get to play for the national title, because I sure as heck don't want to watch Florida or USC get stroked by o$U.

Sounds like sour grapes, to me. The BUCKEYES won, U of M lost. Get over it.

  2. The loss to Oregon State HAS to be in play.

If they want SOS to mean what you say it does, they can't drop that game.

    No way, no how...

Leading up to this game, I haven't agreed w/ much GT has said, but I gotta go w/ him on this one. Michigan is the best one loss team in the nation. The win over Notre Dame and yesterday's game are proof of that. That haven't lost to an unrated team, or get blown out in their loss. They played the best team in the country to within 3 points in a very hostile environment. The thought of having to play U of M again is a little unsettling, but the opportunity for Troy Smith to become a four time winner over the Wolverines makes me froth at the mouth. GO BUCKEYES!

  3. It's interesting to read all the Troy Smith hate mail. The guy is the best offensive general in big games. He is only the 2nd OSU QB in history to go 3-0 against U of M. His work against Texas this year and Notre Dame in last years Fieta Bowl clearly show he is #1. Brady Quinn is a good QB, but is no Troy Smith. Quinn was recruited by Tressel, but chose ND so he could be a starter. He knew he would play second fiddle to Smith. Smith is the claer cut winner of the Heisman. Anyone else would be a joke.

  4. Congrats Buckeyes!!

If the National Championship game is meant for the 2 best teams to play for the title then these 2 teams should play again in Arizona because they are clearly the 2 best teams in college football.

As good of a game as this was, if Rutgers goes undefeated, they should play for the national championship. They are in a BCS conference, will have taken out U of L and WVU, 2 top 10 schools, and will have earned the trip. In the event of a Rutgers' loss, the winner of the USC/Notre Dame game will play. I don't agree w/ this given USC lost to an unrated team and ND lost to Michigan, but most likely, the USC/ND winner will play The Ohio State Buckeyes.

  5. I would like to see a rematch, but only if Rutgers loses a game. If the Scarlet Knights go undefeated in the Big East, a BCS conference, they should play for the national championship. If the run the course and get overlooked, the Big East should leave the BCS. No point in staying involved w/ something that overlooks a team that, if still unbeaten, will have knocked off 2 top 10 schools in U of L and WVU.

  6. I guess everybody should pack up and go home then. Looks like Rose Hill will win it the next 5-6 years. I am sure the kid is a good player, but alot of guys would be good or better "If" they grew to be 6'5.

With Terry, it's not a matter of "if" he hits 6'5", it's a matter of when. He has an uncle that is 6'6" or 6'7" and both grandfathers are in excess of 6'5". The genes are in his favor.

  7. Another player at RH to watch is Mike Terry. While only a seventh grader, look for him to come of the bench and get some valuable playing time. Mike is a hard worker, has excelled in AAU competition, and has the priveledge of working at home with one of the top girls players in the state, his sister Laura Terry. Mike is already well over 6' tall and still growing. Watch for him to become the impact player for the RH boys that his sister is for the girls. The next few years look very promising for the Royals.

  8. I agree. The depth of Rose Hill's bench is their biggest vulnerability. But Queen and Terry compliment each other on the court so well, the 16th is theirs to take. You can't double team both girls all the time. They play selflessly, working the ball to whichever one is open or has the hottest hand. While they both put up big numbers, neither one worries about the individual stats. That is why RH will be back in Bowling Green this year.

  9. Two names that can not be left off this list are Emily Queen and Laura Terry of Rose Hill. I don't know if RH can duplicate the success of last year, but the numbers these two girls have put up can not go unnoticed. I believe the D1 scouts agree w/ me, considering the # of offers these 2 entertained. When Terry puts up #'s again this year as she did last year, I don't see how she could be overlooked for Ms. Basketball.
