  1. Dreaming... I'm wide awake. :ylsuper:
  2. Just to let everybody know... I was told today that Debbie "mommy" Matney and T.D. "baby" Matney are home and both doing fine.
  3. I agree with you. :thumb: But Couch did get sacked about 12 times when he played against Johnson Central.
  4. I agree with you lakeview. I was on the other side of the field and could hear Ashland chanting the whole game. JC will need to do that against Rockcastle County, they cant let their spirits down now.
  5. Johnson Central can beat Covington Catholic or Lexington Catholic. The only thing would be if they could stay up for 3 weeks straight. Playing Ashland in a tight game, playing Rockcastle County and then playing a team like LexCath or CovCath for 3 straight weeks would be hard on any team. But I seriously think they could win against CovCath or LexCath.
  6. They are good. The game against Ashland showed alot to alot of people. This weeks game agains Rockcastle County will be the true test. The only thing about this JC team, they have never been this far before. That might play a big role this week.
  7. They have to get past Rockcastle County first. I dont care if Lexington Catholic or Covington Catholic comes rollin into the nest.
  8. Danville vs. NewCath - A Mercer County vs. Belfry - AA Male vs. Ryle - AAAA My prediciton for the AAA game will come later on.
  9. I'm sure coach Jim Matney has to be on cloud 9. The birth of his first child, a boy, T.D. Matney. Leading JC to a 12-0 record and taking JC to their first ever regional title game. I know his wife Debbie wanted JC to beat Ashland friday night, that was the night his son was born. I seriously doubt we will see the new mom and the little guy friday night. But we will see Johnson Central win.
  10. It is a 3500-4000 seat concrete bleacher. It is the only bleachers JC has. JC has allowed fans to stand around the field. They have put up a temporary fence around some parts of the field so more people can attend.
  11. We beat Ashland. Now it is time for JC to get ready for Rockcastle County. The game friday night will be the biggest game in the history of Johnson Central high school. No team has ever went 13-0 and no team has ever won a regional title in football. This team has a chance to do all of that friday night. This is the best team ever in the history of Johnson Central. I know JC can win, if they do is up to them. This is crazy, 3 years ago everybody was wanting football season to end. Now we are 2 games away from playing in the state championship.
  12. I agree with that statement. As much as I would like to see a blow-out, it wont happen. RC will score, they have an awesome offense. JC has to control the time of possession, in RC's last game, they held Bell County to almost no time of possession. I still think JC is a better team than RC. Even though Matney has never beat RC, I know he has the team and coaching staff to lead JC to a win.
  13. Johnson Central was going through the motions for 3 quarters and 6 minutes. The last 6 minutes of the game Johnson Central finally started playing their style of football. IF the come out next friday against Rockcastle County like they did against Ashland... all of JC's posters will be saying what a good season they had. But I dont think that will be the case.
  14. I could have swore I saw a bunch of ear plugs on the Ashland side of the stadium tonight. Did anybody else see them?
  15. I'm sorry, but isnt that why it is called home field advantage?
  16. No matter what anybody says... Johnson Central wanted this game more. It wasnt a pretty game, but they won. JC will be ready for Rockcastle County.
  17. Johnson Central is going to have to execute better against Rockcastle County than they did against Ashland. Johnson Central played solid defense, Ashland had some big plays. But overall JC played solid D tonight.
