  1. I wonder if it could be because it was known at Manchester High School until 1938... That may be the reasoning behind it. That still doesn't dictate why they are not on the all time list that the KHSAA has. Based on what I have noticed with Clay County is that from 1968 to 1994, they did not have a double digit losing season and won 20 or more games (including several years of 30 or more).

  3. There's several teams on the no-title list that might have made it to the Sweet 16 if the "establishment", to use a currently commonly used term during the presidential campaign, that's found in most regions, had not been in force. I know in the 14th that most of the control and power has always been in the southern part of the region in a triangle from Hazard to Hindman to Whitesburg. This dates back to the 1940s. It's no surprise when the 14th region championships are researched that most of the titles are from Perry or Knott County schools. The only other school to have several titles is Breathitt County, but for most of its history Breathitt was in the same district as the Knott schools, which in year's past were old Knott County High, Carr Creek, Hindman, and Cordia and was also part of the establishment.

I may be paranoid but I think most of the region's have a inner circle power structure that makes it difficult for schools outside the circle to get to the Sweet 16. It may not be that way in regions such as the 6th, 7th, or 11th, but I believe it is prevalent in the rest of the state.

    Conspiracy!!

  4. Na I'm good. I'm just tired of hearing about that little puny gym like it's such an amazing place to watch high school games.

Been there several times for a wide array of events and it's just not all that like some on here portray it to be. Needs major upgrades to catch up with society. It's almost 100 yrs old for god sakes.

I'm just greatful for technology these days and radio broadcasters popping up all over the region so I don't have to go watch another game down there. The nightmare of parking and seating is over. All I have to do is click a link and listen.

Evidently you need something. I've never seen someone who just enjoys complaining about one place. Yes it is old. It was built when every town and four way stop had a school building and gym. As for parking and seating, no one ever asked for you to show up, that was your choice.

I'm sure the athletic department thanks you for you coming to a game/event and paying the admission price, it may have helped purchase a child's jersey or gym shoes.

  5. In my experience, the Apple store will replace but not recover materials. They will diagnose it though, and let you know what is wrong.

If the drive still spins, there may be a chance to recover things. Swamprat is correct with regards to taking to a place to have it done other than the Apple store.
