  1. I just wonder why all the speculation of a conspiracy..If his dad got a better job opportunity in another area and they move to that area, then it only makes sense there son would relocate as well and that would mean a new school. I'm sure the BB and FB teams at Danville will suffer some with the loss of a kid with that much talent, but, it sounds to me like it is what it is, nothing more.

  2. I still like 6 teams, the champions from each BCS conference, with the top 2 based on the computer rankings getting a 1st round bye...To me, if Notre Dame wants to play for a National Championship, then they need to play in the Big East in both sports, otherwise, they shouldnt qualify, just because of who they are. They certainly wouldn't for any other independent. Yes, this would leave out Georgia, Missouri, Kansas and the like, but, if you dont win your conference, you don't play for a Ntl Championship, simple as that and then there wouldnt be any disgruntled teams left out. They had there chance in conf play and didn't get it done. I'd also like to see a non BCS playoff, too, with the champions from the smaller conferences like C-USA, MAC, WAC, MWC, etc...I think it could work

  3. I am glad to see the SEC well represented, imo they certainly deserve it. With the one exception of being an Ohio State football fan I am am SEC fan all the way. 4. I will let you decide.

    Austin Peay W 81-67

    at Toledo W 77-70

    Valparaiso W 87-78

    Utah St. W 77-56

    at Bradley W 95-86

    South Alabama W 91-88

    Georgia Tech W 92-79

    Wake Forest W 83-80

    Lipscomb W 90-67

    at DePaul W 91-85

    Tennessee St. W 83-74

    Tenn-Martin W 92-85

    Iona W 97-73

    Rice W 76-58

    Massachusetts W 97-88

Not the strongest of schedules, but, Ga Tech, Wake, Bradley, UMass and Depaul are all pretty good wins, better than any UK has to speak of, for sure. By the way, I also think Vandy will take this game...V 81 Ky 74

  5. Mel Kiper doesn't even think Woodson is a top 5 QB....I think he's wrong. I think Woodson should be the 3rd QB drafted.

It's possible he could drop out of the Top 5, but, I think unlikely. He's got the size, arm strength and enough mobility to offset a few of his weaknesses. I think he's still 3rd or 4th on the board. You just don't see that many QBs with his gifts...

  6. I will have to agree with you on that statement. William and Jacob will both have a legit shot at the qb position. My uneducated guess will be that Tony will start Spring ball as the leading qb and it will be up to Tony to keep the starting position. The competition amongst the three gifted athletes will only make each other stronger, faster, swifter! As mentioned by serveral posters, it should be exciting Spring football in Ft Thomas. ... good luck to the entire Highlands squad.

It doesn't matter how many trophies are in the case... It doesn't matter if the whole state is watching.

The talent is in the stable. It will take total committment and teamwork to repeat!

Wow, I didn't know that all it took to make you stronger, faster and swifter was competition...Wonder why noone has patented that yet...:lol:

  7. I'd go with Couch. He went in the draft as an underclassman and still went #1 overall and this was in a class thought of as a great class for QBs with Culpepper, McNabb, Smith and several others. People were comparing that class to the one with Elway, Montana and Marino. I think his problem was due to horrible lineplay and protection and then the shoulder injury. He had plenty of arm prior to the injury and imo was alot more accurate than Andre. Nothing against Woodson, he's been great, but I just think Couch was projected alot higher and although didn't have a so called stellar career, still was one of the best at the college level..

  8. From WKY I would also add Trigg County and maybe Caldwell County to the list. From CKY I would include Green County and Metcalfe County.

I hope you're right. I'm not sure what Trigg and Caldwell have coming back. I do think Green Co loses alot and up until this past year, haven't been on the same plane as the typical 7 or 8. Metcalfe loses there QB and that's big. I'd like to see them do good, as well.

  9. I think they'll be just outside the Top 25, 26-30 range, would be my guess...They aren't going to climb any of the 10 BCS teams, then there's 3 or 4 others in there own conference ahead of them and too many teams who were ahead of them before the Bowls who won. They should leap Arkansas, S.Florida, Boise St, Air Force and possibly Clemson, Virginia & UConn...This would put them in about the 27-30 range, barring noone below them moved ahead of them...

  10. Brohms mobility may not stand out, but its better than Woodson's.

I have to disagree here...I saw Brohm against Rutgers last year, who actually brought some pressure and BB had no answer. He struggled mightily. I know he took at least 7-8 sacks. QBs with any type mobility don't let that happen. I'm not saying AW is any better, but, certainly not worse...

  11. I saw nothing to brag about being F-State only had part of their team there.

FSU definately had some players out, but, I guarantee you, the ones that did play were still 3, 4 and 5 star players..Like others have said in other threads, UK was in a no win situation. If they lose, they get hammered for being beat by a team with several players out and if they win, then they get comments like this one. It's not UKs fault, the FSU players cheated. regardless, I thought AW looked very good today. He was poised, accurate, showed good leadership and made plays in key situations. I'm not too sure what else he could have done...

  12. 6-2 thus far..still pretty impressive..I think Arkansas was expected...Here's probably the 7th or 8th best SEC team against a Top 10 team who up until the last reg season day, was playing for the BCS championship.. In addition , the Hogs just lost there head coach.. I was surprised Michigan beat a solid Florida team. The Wolverines impressed me with there play today.. Florida actually didn't play that bad..

  13. Dre will need to be surrounded with a good offensive line to be successful at the next level, he doesnt have the mobility to run around and make plays with his feet. I think thats what seperates him and Brohm. I think those two tho are the top 2 in the draft.

I've not seen anything in Brohms mobility to seperate him from anyone else. If anything, his lack of mobility and foot speed may well be one of his weaknesses. I can see that as a drawback for Woodson, too.
