Chris is good enough to be successful at most any level, pitching or at the plate. He may have chosen Campbellsville for the money for a college education, or for any number of reasons (close to home, instate, top 25, etc). If you are good enough, the scouts will find you.
I don't hate HHS. I just think this whole scenario is a moot point if some people would plan better. Look at Meinken, a city park that is shared by Holmes (Varsity and JV), Holy Cross (Varsity and sometimes JV), and Latin. Does Buerger have any control of the situation as city rec director?
If the City and Highlands worked an agreeable schedule out from the beginning, then it would solved a lot of heartache. If they did have a schedule already, then the coach at Highlands needs to plan his Varsity AND JV practices more efficiently.
I'm sure Villa's coach doesn't care who they are playing, I'm sure he expects to win. He seems to be very competitive and the schedule usually reflects that.
