  1. Let me explain why I had responded the way that I did to this comment, you TBaG have on several occasions responded to post's of mine using that same comment on each occasion, so I have to say that I have gotten sick of hearing it. Although I am a parent I do not have a son on any of the teams that I discuss. The Only son I have played both High School and Collegiate Football and Basketball D1, did you by any chance, I did play and Coach both at all levels of the game have you. So the rose colored glasses thing became insulting to me being a parent that is, and as a Coach. I have found that sometimes the parents see things better than even the Coaches do problem is most Coaches are too egotistical to listen, truely listen, to a parent.And some are so bad they wont even listen to their own peirs.NOT saying that anyone on here should listen to everything that is said by anyone on here.:thumb:

    Wow... where did your child play D1 athletics at? And as for you 95% of coaches do not spend their time getting fired up over what someone says on the internet. They should know that is one person just putting their input on a situation... Now lets get back to the topic and quit attacking each other.

  2. :laugh:

    I will admit that at least Frankfort is always competitive but Bellevue, Dayton and Ludlow would and has always been able to handle the likes of Trimble and Eminence 9 out of 10 times and since Gallatins program is still very new I wouldn't think that they would be competitive in their district either at least for a few more years. 3 of the 4 teams you mention are routinely near the bottom of the state rankings most years.:ylsuper:

    If I am not mistaken... Didnt Gallatin play their second varsity season (First year of playoff eligibilty.) and Host a playoff game? That from what I understand is quite unheard of. I agree that frankfort will be the team to beat most years in this district but to say " 3 of the 4 " is an exaggeration.

  3. As a Gallatin County parent of a senior, I have to say we are still in a little shock. We led most of the game and to be leading with 10 seconds left to play and to lose like we did is unbelievable. Walking out the doors of the gym, a Shelby County parent said to me. Gallatin deserved to win. We got lucky.

    It was so hard to see our players crying on the bench and looking up at the score in disbelief. Those of us who know these players are so very proud of them. Since these boys were in the 7th grade they have been winners on the court and in the classroom. The coaches truly love these young men and I know that Gallatin County Fans will never forget the 2005 to/2008 teams. Good luck to our Seniors, you have so much to be proud of. You will all be successful in life, because you don't know how to quit. Thank you coaches and players for such a wonderful ride.

  4. The game was delayed getting started last night because NO brought the wrong uniforms. For how many years has it been that the District winner plays the District loser in the first round of the Regional. THE DISTRICT WINNER IS THE HOME TEAM (most of the time that is the WHITE uniforms). :lol::lol::lol::dancingpa[/quote

    That might be the best game Henry County played all year.

    :laugh::laugh: That's funny!

  5. Penny was clearly spent and heartbroken, I was waiting for him to get up and go through the line but by the time he did stand up, GC was walking out with him and there he shook hands with a lot of the GC players and at least one coach.

    Gallatin was in this same situation last year, they knocked out Shelby, so they clearly showed that they can win the big game.

    I am glad this was mentioned on here because I also thought that Penny was just distraught and emotionally spent. I did not think that he was snubbing the boys from Gallatin at all. From all accounts I heard about him, he is as good a person off the court as he is a player on the court. Hopefully his display of emotions is not taken in a bad light because I truly feel there was no malice intended.:thumb:

  6. Congrats to Trent! Probably a toss up between him or Zac!:sssh:

    I agree Congrats Trent! Hopefully we will be back next year and give Zac his chance. Brown and Jones were outstanding in first game. I have to send Kudo's out to my boy Henson for his outstanding defense, block shots and steals. Brown also played great defense in second game. Too bad awards are not given for defense. Way to go Gallatin. Hazard plays a very similar game to Gallatin, tough defense and very patient on offense. I thought the coaches did a great job preparing. The boys did what they were suppose to do, our shots just did not fall.
