  1. Knox Central plays sparatic, some games they r very impressive others they are not. Cumberland beat them by 60 idk how they faired on other 13th region teams during the summer though. All of the 13th region teams played extremely IMO at the State Tourny. And yes Cody Miller is a match-up nightmare
  2. I agree fully, Tubby was a good defensive coach but never seemed to be this involved with his recruiting
  3. Not taking anything away from Dalota ive read about him many times and he is without a doubt an amazing player and great job to him:thumb: , now with that said i didnt know colleges was allowed to recruit or have any contact with players before there junior season
  4. What year of High School will this player be entering?
  5. You dont know the half of it , was Tates Creek at full strength it seemed they was missing a few players? But even still very good showing by Cumberland
  6. I watched both the Harlan Co. teams played and they both represented Harlan Co. well with Cumberland advancing and Cawood playing till' the end with a highly ranked team
  7. 1st five Proffit 1 Smith (Harlan) 2 Hammonds 3 Johnson (Cumberland) 4 Smith (S. Laurel) 5 2nd five Hicks 1 Miller 2 Whiticker 3 Slusher 4 Caldwell 5 **Tried to picke em' as close to position as possible... but I liked your guy's lists as well..
  8. I would have to agree with several of the names mentioned in this posting... I like Strange from Pineville, and Lewis from Clay, but feel that the most overlooked "underclassman" not mentioned would have to be Caldwell from Cawood. I saw him play against Crawford from Corbin and Johnson from Cumberland. He outscored both of em and no one was even close to handling him in the post. I also think that Miller from Knox could end up being the best in the bunch... but that's my 2 cents...
  9. how will this game pan out? interesting match up? Cawood's youth and bench vs Bell's experience and lack of depth. Post a comment if you have one... thanks..
  10. I liked the first list but it seemed a bit "red hound" heavy... I certainly know the crawford kid is a quality player... but am not familiar with the others... I have seen Miller play and think he could be one of the best in the long run.. Has anyone seen Josh Caldwell play from Cawood? I have seen his name mentioned with some of the others. Does Bell or Harlan have any outstanding young talent other than the one's mentioned... I had heard there was an outstanding player in gradeschool from the middlesboro/bell area last year? but do not know the name...
  11. Who are some of the Top Freshman and Sophmores in S/E Ky? Haven't heard about many from last year?
  12. this one could be close and come down to a kicking game or a battle of field position.... Does anyone know who Harlan is running out of the Back field? What about Cawood?
  13. O.K. the season is 3/4 gone and I would love to see everyones opinion as to the top players this season (by class) in the 13th. Everyone try to limit thier list to 5 in each class.... everyone have fun....
  14. having seen Harlan, Corbin, Bell, Barbourville, S. Laurel, N. Laurel, Cawood, Cumberland, Middlesboro, and Pineville. I would have to go with a list like this. 1. S. Laurel, 2. Clay, 3. N. Laurel, 4. Corbin, 5. Barbourville, 6. Cawood, 7. Pineville, 8. Bell, 9. Harlan, 10. Cumberland, 11. Lynn Camp I haven't seen pineville play since this summer, but know they can't be very deep. I do think it's odd for me to have Cawood below two teams they have defeated, but i think they are a bit sporadic. As for the 2-11 teams I think it is very very even and any one could beat the other on any given night. It's a great list and if South weren't in the region it would probably be the best regional tourny in many a year. I just don't see any one knocking them off in this region
  15. What is the outlook for the Harlan County teams in 06? Does anyone know what each team can expect next year or what they have coming back? :argue:
