South Floyd was formed from Wheelwright and McDowell High Schools. McDowell never had football, so most of the kids that play would have been from Wheelwright anyway. The school has had more success with basketball in the past, with a trip to the sweet 16 and several all a appearances. In recent years, girls volleyball has been the only consistent winning program on the hill. I am pretty sure Petrey kicked a 50+ yarder on their trip to SF, it left a lot of folks standing in awe.

They have never won a playoff game, typically finish each season with 3-5 wins. This district is very weak this year, its basically Pikeville, then everybody else. After week 1 of the playoffs, Pikeville will be the only team left from their district, it should make for a good matchup on week 2 with Raceland. I also believe when Raceland came to SF, they had an incredible kicker that went on for bigger and better things.

This is not SF's first playoff game, they have played in them before. They are primarily a running team, they dress about 20-25 kids, very little depth. They will try to control the clock to keep Raceland under 50.

Beat down. With Danville coming to P-Burg next week, they really need to pull it together, this has to be disappointing for them.
