I agree Zeus, I have been cordial, I root for the Panthers as you do my Pirates (when they aren't playing each other ) but some fun ribbing is always in order, but I agree it does get out of hand. I just hope most people on here can see through my sarcasm and see I am just having a good time and it's nothing personal, heck this is a rivalry, if you don't think Your team is going to win then why would we call it such a rivlary! I've been looking forward to this day for a while now, this is the most looked forward to non-district game either team has, or it should be anyway. I really feel Belfry will pull it out, but thats not to say I don't think Pikeville has a chance, anyone would be stupid to think that. I look for a very close game at the half. But I think the second half will be the difference, and I look for Belfry to win 28-13. Go Bucs!!

Whats your breakdown of this contest oneijoe? What does Pburg need to do to beat SC?

After tommorow night we will know who is the best and there will be no excuses!

Name me one good win that Pikeville has this season. Thats a big zero! Belfry beat NCC, a task Pikeville couldnt take care of last season, and Belfry atleast did put up two td's against Henry Clay last year, Pikeville was, uh, shutout! Pikeville couldnt stop NCC last year but Belfry took care of business this year and stopped Vicars. Belfry also took a very good Ashland team to the wire, and it was Belfry's game to lose and I respect Haywood's decision to go for the win, Belfry knew when they left Putnam that they could play with the Tomcats anyday, not a feat I am so sure Pikeville could have pulled off. I wouldnt harp on Belfry not having a win over a good team this season when the team I root for only has wins over pburg, allen central, and south floyd.

Haywood let Elkins take over for him at Lawrence County, and ever since the Pirate offense has found thier spark and haven't looked back. He makes good decisions on the field and seems to have a lot better hands then Preston, Preston now plays WR and has caught a couple passes. I think the Pirate faithful was pleasently surprised when they say Elkins (a sophomore) ability to pass the ball and just how accurate he is. The future looks very bright at qb for Belfry.

Yes against East Ridge and Magoffin, We will see which qb can handle the pressure come friday night.

Uh and your last two games were against Allen Central and South Floyd, I wouldn't be talking like you have some strong schedule..lol

How is Pikeville's passing game, by look of thier stats on KHSAA as of (9-14), Honaker only has 98 yards passing, Belfry's passing game is coming along nicely, we definitely have a qb for the future on Pond Creek in Elkins, he thows a very nice ball and the exchange between him and the backs looks very nice for him to only have two complete games under his belt.

What does Pikeville have? I am really interested in what they have this year, we hear alot about Harmon, and we know about Mayo, I was hoping he would make it back for this game, but seriously give us a breakdown of what we can expect come friday?

Yes I have to agree it was a "Great entertainment value" these last 5 years. That 25 bucks I paid at the gate for these last 5 Pirate victories was well worth every penny! And hopefully billyrayjoebob we will keep 'em coming!

Why do you feel the need to post something talking about the Belfry fans referning to the last 5 years. The proof is on the field, and thats where those last 5 (W's) came from, not a message board or some gloating fans on BGP! :thumb:

Pikeville has its fair share of fans who act the same way, every team does, you are singling out people who are gloating, I havent gloated once, refer to post 78 and you shall see I think it will be a dogfight!

To be honest about it, your listening to some Belfry fans, not all! First of all I am a Belfry fan and I do think they "can" beat the Panthers, but if they don't come ready to play it will be a long trip to Pond Creek via good ole 119, and thats a fact! But believe me when I say that all the Belfry faithful do not feel this will be a cake walk! I know the coaches at Belfry will be ready and they will have thier team eady, I am looking forward to friday and I think it will be a great atmosphere and game!

billyray if your calling Belfry fans unclassy, then you don't know much about them, Belfry fans are like all teams fans they have the ones who are homers and the ones who will tell it like it is. SO if your trying to insinuate that Belfry fans do not have class then you don't know what your talking about. One thing about this thread that has suprised me is the lack of anyone discussing the game, thats why I started this thread, so please fill us in with what your thought are about this game and how you see it playing out this friday night.
