  1. Since your a 10th region fan, could you please post the top 10 players in the region. Thanks
  2. Dixie lost Keener and Sam Lawson. Dixie has no one, I mean no one to replace them. Please don't come back and say they have Shields, Moser, Simpson, or Richardson. These players are average at best.
  3. I agree with you that they are athletic, but big they are not. Jefferson is around maybe 6'0" and Hill is 6'1". This is not considered a big back-court by any stretch of the imagination
  4. Hill/Jefferson are around the #5 spot, not the top 2. 1. Walls/Mackey - Scott County 2. Johnson/Beckam - Lou. Ballard 3. Proffit/Hammonds - South Laurel 4. Britt/Anderson - Warren Central 5. Jefferson/Hill - Holmes
  5. Frank joined the Shooting Stars in July. According to the Shooting Stars website, he averaged around 2 points and 2 rebounds per game. I think these stats probably indicate he did not get much playing time with the Shooting Stars.
  6. IMO: Holy Cross has better overall players than last year.
  7. 1. Scott County 2. LexCath 3. Henry Clay 4. Bryan Station 5. Madison Central
  8. Agree. :thumb: I said the same thing in my posting(#25).
  9. Austin is a good player but NO where the level Bill Walker is at. I don't think anyone would consider someone holding their own when they allow another player to get 50 points and 25 rebounds as Walker did last year. As far as Austin being anywhere from 6'3"- 6'5" is wishful thinking. Too many people on here have stated seeing Austin recently, including myself, and have confirmed he is no bigger than 6'1" - 6'1 1/2".
  10. Those Tarheel teams were very good, but to my knowledge they never beat the Eastern KY Stars. Plus, the Tarheels only won 1 AAU State Tournament and that was back in the 4th grade.
  11. Holy Cross will be pretty darn good. They have size in Eifert & Sullivan(each are 6'6" or better) shooters in Ryan & Sorrell, and Giwa is fast & athletic enough to shut down other teams guards. HC will definitely surprise people this year.
  12. Don't know who Pelle's running mate is this year. Maybe someone else might be able to provide this information. The head to head match-ups this season between these guards will definitely decide who is the best. Looking forward to the games.
  13. I agree with you that Uebel & Kidney are a pretty good duo, and think Uebel especially is one of the best guards in the district and possibly the region, but I don't think Kidney or the players off the bench for Brossart are at the same level as Pelle, Quigley, or Sharp.
  14. I really believe that if Sharp & Quigley are doubled, they will have the confidence to pass the ball to Miller or Smith for an open shot. I think Sharp, Quigley, and Miller will each have a good season, but the other 2 starters along with the bench will need to step up and do their part in order for Scott to have a successful year.
  15. IMO: The loss of Allen won't hurt as much as everyone expects.
  16. :thumb: Couldn't have said it any better.
  17. I totally agree with you that #2 is close between Scott and Campbell Co. CC's size will hurt Scott as you stated, but Scott will have quicker people and be able to shoot the ball better from the outside. Should be a pretty good game. Hopefully Scott will have the advantage by playing CC at home this year.
  18. I thought this thread was about projected lineups for the 9th and 10th regions team, not a history lesson about Highlands.
  19. I think South Laurel would be the heavy favorite in the 13th because of Proffitt, Hammonds, and Trey Smith. What other team in the 13th can match-up with these three players?
  20. Mason County will be a top 5-10 team in the state and the 10th region favorite. Clark County might also be rated in the top 25 in the state and be a close #2 behind Mason in the 10th.
  21. Pelle may end up being the best player in the district, but he does not bring more to a game than Scott's backcourt of Sharp & Quigley does.
  22. They will also be tested when they go on the road and play Scott on 12/19. Should be a pretty good game.
