Okay guys, the lines are drawn, the hours are rushing past, the epic battles between Somerset and Pulaski County... SWHS and Rockcastle County are about to unfold. Wow, have we had an exciting 2 weeks leading up to it. All posters have led the way in the prelude to one of the most exciting Ray Correll Bowls in ever. The hype has been tremendous as it should be. For the most part we have been ladies and gentlemen. I commend all for your input to this thread. As our teams are preparing in these final days we all must remember that they are the ones who make it possible. They are the ones who have worked, sweated, bled, and hurt during the hottest August I can recall. They are the ones who I give a great "thank-you Kids" to. I pray that we all play to our abilities and that there are no injuries. We must all leave it on the field and remember who has made it all possible, God almighty...:thumb: Oops, I would be remiss if I did not remind you all to arrive early and enjoy the festivities that have been planned. The tailgating will be a fun time along with the local band that will be playing. This is the one event that brings all us Pulaski Countians together. We will all be there from our local politicians,administrators, community leaders, and many, many other Dignitaries. We welcome our friends from Rockcastle County and really appreciate Coach Larkey and his fine Staff for participating along with the powerful Rocket Football team...

It has always been a well ran operation. Always a class act. We at SWHS promote and physically help. Our ROTC assists in the parking. We are proud to always be a part...:thumb:

If what I understand is true, rain would wipe out the field for the season if it did so on Friday. The games on a muddy new field would truly be devastating. I hear it is not ready to take the traffic wet or dry. I suppose we will find out Friday. I also understand that the field is so iffy that the offer was made Saturday to move it to SWHS , but was declined by AD Tucker. I hope it is ready though. The Ray Correll Bowl is Somerset. It would be a shame if it is not ready or had to be located to SWHS. Part of the turmoil I was referring to is the poor planning that went into the field...

... Jumper1, rather than rehash all the turmoil that has been going on there, I will respectlfully decline to answer your question. What I do also know for sure is that PC did visit the Reservation twice ending their season last year and they came to play. They were a young team. Even in loss to the Warriors they had no reason to get down. I think that they left the season holding their heads high as they did leave it all on the field. Now here a year later they have more maturity and I believe it will all show Friday night...

We have 4 kickers that we will use depending upon the situation. Which facet of the kicking game are you referring to?...

.. I wish to change my earlier prediction to SWHS 32- Rockcastle 12. as a result of Rock not having an experienced extra point kicker. Pulaski County 20...Somerset 12 as a result of the turmoil that has been going on has got the Kids' head out of the game and PC is highly motivated...

Maybe thay Fla. sun has mellowed him somewhat but never-the-less he is the same loyal radical that his name implies.
