And I agree, I think it's great that North and South are in the Region, and that Jackson and Rock are not. It makes alot more sense, but I don't like how they have Pineville in the 51st, and Bell/Middlesboro in the 52nd.

Pittman will start for the Jackets, I'm 99% sure about that. Earls and Hoskins will be avaliable for relief, so the Jackets will have all their pitchers ready. The Jackets have had their bats going the last couple of days, and if they keep them going, I look for the Jackets to come out on top 5-3. If the Jackets don't hit the ball, I say the Cardinals will win 3-1. I predict that Pittman will throw 5 good innings, get into a little bit of trouble in the 6th, and they will have to bring in Hoskins. Trevor will manage to get a ground ball to get out of the inning, and then will sit down the Cards 1-2-3 to win it.

They play Thursday in the championship? That don't make any sense, it's almost always Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday! Better check the schedule again.

Ok I know that Middlesboro beat OBI 13-3 in 6 innings and that Knox Central came from behind to upset Whitley 7-6. Anyone got any details about these games? And what about the next two games???? Come on Les, surely you can get information to someone so that they can post it on here!

AMEN BROTHER!!! :laugh: And as for a coach coming out and questioning my calls, I'll be more than happy to expalin to him my call, and if I feel I need it, ask for assistance, providing that he comes out calmly and quietly asks me about it. I'll even discuss balls and strikes with him for a minute or two. But if a coach wants to come out on the field and act like a complete fool and start to get in my face, well he'll have a very long walk, RIGHT BACK TO THE BUS/CAR!!! As an umpire myself, I had to read over the situation a couple of times to get the full understanding of it. The run scores. When the fly ball is caught, that's out number two. The runner at Third tags and scores BEFORE the runner at first is doubled up. Since it wasn't a force out, the run counts when it's scored before out number 3.

Middlesboro vs. OBI 10 a.m. First, why start the games so early in the day? Give the fans of the teams who have to travel to get there and see the game. Middlesboro throws Earls and if their bats are alive, they win 10-0. If they are off, Jackets win 2-1 by scoring in the bottom of the 3rd, and bottom of the 6th. Knox Central vs. Whitley County 1 p.m. Whitley will probally have to throw their 2 man, and should come out of this game with a 7-1 win. Clay County vs. Cumberland 4 p.m. Now I get the feeling that this game will be a good one. Look for Cumberland to throw their 2 man, and Clay to throw thier ace. Here's the upset in the 1st round. Cumberland's Drew Chamberlain will hit the game winning HR to left field in the top of the 7th to win 5-4. South Laurel vs. Barbourville 7 p.m. Staff Day for the Cardinals as they win 10-0. 2nd Round Middlesboro vs Whitley County Middlesboro will throw Freshman pitcher Brett Pitman, and the Cornels will throw their Ace. This game will be a dandy, as the Jackets win it 4-2. South Laurel vs. Cumberland The Redskins will throw Drew Chamberlain and the Cardinals will throw their Ace as well. Look for Cumberland to stay in this game, but the Cardinals will be to much. South 3 Cumberland 1 FINAL Middlesboro vs South Laruel Middlesboro will throw Trevor Hoskins, and South will throw thier 2 man. Middlesboro's defense will kick them in the butt, by committing 3 errors, but the Jackets will still be able to hang on to win 5-4.

Nope it's the same 7 innings just like the other games. Although if it's a butt kicking, the mercy rule kicks in after 5.

I was at the game, and while I won't say that the game was "horribly officated", there were several close calls. I am not sure of the reason why the bookkeeper was thrown out, he did get tossed after the coach was going out to argue the close call at 3rd base in the 7th inning. Overall, give credit where credit is due, both teams played a heck of a game, and Middlesboro's Freshman Bret Pittman threw a 1 hitter. He had a no hitter going through the first 6 innings.

Game #1. Bell County vs Harlan 5:30 PM Monday May 22nd Bell County has a pretty decent team, but Harlan was able to end Cumberland's winning streak. I'll give this game to Bell, but I think it will be a close one. Bell County 5 Harlan 3 Game #2. Cawood vs Evarts 8:00 PM Monday May 22nd Cawood is a good team, and Evarts from what I understand is it's usually bad self. Cawood wins this game in 5. Cawood 15 Evarts 0 Game #3. Middlesboro vs Bell County 5:30 PM Tuesday May 23rd Game #3 against each other this season for these teams. Bell will throw thier stud, Middlesboro will probally throw the Freshman Pittman. Bell County has had the Jackets number it seems, and was able to come from behind in the late innings and win the last game at Middlesboro in 10 innings. I think the Jackets will be anxious for revenge in this game, and will win a close game. Middlesboro 3 Bell County 1 Game #4. Cumberland vs Cawood 8:00 PM Tuesday May 23rd This game will be a barn burner with both teams throwing their studs. Cawood is traditionally a great team, and Cumberland is good this year too. I see Chamberlain throwing probally his best game of the year to date and will hold Cawood to one run. Cumberland 2 Cawood 1 in 8 innings. Game #5. Championship Game, Middlesboro vs Cumberland 7PM Wednesday May 24th While Cumberland had to burn Chamberlain to get here, Middlesboro was able to save Hoskins for this game. I say that Jackets will struggle at the plate for some reason, but their pitching will keep them in the game. Look for Hoskins to pitch 6 good innings with Earls comming in to close the game out for the Jackets. Middlesboro 2 Cumberland 1 Again, these are just my opinions, and if you can come up with 50 more cents, you can get a cup of coffee.

There was a 3 way tie for First Place, and they had to draw for the seeds. Tournament will be played at Middlesboro. 1. Middlesboro 2. Cawood 3. Cumberland 4. Bell County 5. Harlan 6.
