  1. Yes, but excluding the opening kickoff they did pretty well including two punts that forced Alabama to begin the series inside their own 5 yard line and almost resulted in a safety. Special teams did a good job overall.
  2. UK offered their current red shirt freshman punter/kicker a scholarship before his first game as a high school senior at Trinity.
  3. Z's hang time has improved on kickoffs which is probably why he only had 3 of 6 touchbacks and why the touchbacks were less than 5 yards deep.
  4. I believe Ryan Tydlacka will be the punter at the KY-TN all star game but he is also an outstanding kicker. Coach Brooks said that Ryan would compete for all three positions at UK next year. Here are his stats: 73 touchbacks on 116 kickoffs (62.9%) 79/81 PATS 5/7 FG's (Trinity rarely attempts a field goal) 45.6 yds per punt long of 65 1st team all state punter (senior) - Louisville Courier Journal 1st team all state punter (junior & senior) - Associated Press 1st team all state punter (junior & senior) - BGP all south region punter - Prepstars Magazine Tydlacka received scholarship offers from three D-1A schools.
  5. Raining may hold off at times today. I expect much more trash talking after the game whoever wins
  6. A 50+ yard field goal in high school is great and I would like to see the outstanding player honor go to a special team guy. One note, however, unless he did not use a tee and a "kicker friendly" ball you cannot compare it to a college or NFL kicker result.
