If I’m Barnhardt and/or the boosters. I’m throwing the banks at either Mulkey at LSU or South Carolina coach.

For comparison sake, Elzy was paid less than $800k this year, where as Staley and Mulkey were both paid over $3 million.  Also they are both at established programs with good rosters already.  So I'm thinking they would want over $4 million to even consider that move, which is more than 5 times what Elzy was getting paid by UK this year.

Money grab. Plain and simple. It will be a glorified sparring match.

Mike Tyson would literally kill Jake Paul in a real boxing match.

In his prime yes, at 58, idk. Physiologically speaking, Paul is literally at his prime. Tysons prime was every bit of 20 years ago, almost 30.  I'd LOVE to see Tyson knock his top off but my guess is Paul tries to ware down Tyson by dancing around for several rounds.

Who knows the way the SEC is, but they did beat Ole Miss 86-60 today at Ole Miss.

So, good chance Kentucky get Texas A&M?

I'm with you there 16thBBall,  nothing would surprise me.

Told my buddies with about 6-8 mins to go, Calipari and Dillingham need to let Sheppard close that game out. He was great minus slipping and his involvement in the debacle of the last minute. But h3 played great.

    This team is so special.

Yeah, the slip was frustrating but also understandable, seemed like he likely hit some moisture and just kept going.

So glad Cal didn't quit on him like a lot of BBN wanted.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a part of the crew that wanted Edwards minutes limited.  In hind sight, the Thiero injury forced Edwards to step up some, at least gave him more of a chance to acclimate to how physical the SEC was going to be vs having his minutes limited.  Then Thiero came back and seemingly gave him a bit of a blue print on how to attack from the outside, but Edwards shooting from outside was all on him. He just seems to see everything so much better now, rarely feels rushed.

He's been great to watch develop really.  Also cool that he talked so openly about talking to someone when things were getting tough. College in general is a big jump, I can't imagine how tough it can be when you're struggling and a projected 1st round draft pick going into the season. He's come a long way.

Honestly he was at his best when he played the 5. He just doesn’t seem to fit that well when having to play the 4.

Unfortunately I do agree, he was at his best then.  Just wish we could figure out a way to get him going again without impacting everything else that has been working.

Agreed.  Sheppard had a sizzling second half, but Reeves was consistent all game.  He also led us in rebounding.

To have 3 guards that can get as hot as Sheppard, Reeves, & Dillingham can is really nice.

I am genuinely surprised at this win.  Just great offense and didn't get very bothered by UT's physicality.

I can't quite go as far as to say I expected them to win, but I thought it was very possible.  Again, very surprised by the almost double digit point spread favoring Tennessee.  Kentucky has been playing very well as of late and it continued today.

UK player of the game for me was Antonio Reeves. He was at his best today.

He and Reed are interchangeable for me today.  They don't win with either of them out.  Edward's was solid, Dillingham made a difference and made Tennessee uncomfortable having to guard him.  Would be nice if Tre Mitchell could get it going again, would really help this team down the stretch.

I think everyone took notice of his play today. Calipari recognized it early on and rode with him.

If we are talking sneaky good performance, that goes to Edwards. 16, 6, and 3 in 37 minutes of action.

He led the way in the first half with 13, which was needed until everyone else could get things going in the second half which they did.  On that note, it's funny, because regardless of what UK does in the first half scoring, you know they can and likely will score 50+ in the second half.

I would like to know how Dalton Knecht only made 2nd team in the Big Sky conference last year. lol

The kid can play he has one of the quickest releases I've seen. Even with him scoring 40 I thought the times Edwards guarded him he did a good job.

Yeah that is wild.  If Knecht doesn't play or go for more than 20 this game could've been ugly.  He's very good and I'm sure he'll succeed in the NBA but I'm torn as to whether or not he's as good in the NBA.  On the one hand, I don't think his 6'6 height is as advantageous in the NBA as it is in college. On the other hand, no one really plays a lot of defense in the NBA so it may not matter.

It will not be noticed but I think Onyenso played great even though he never scored a point. I thought he set the tone early that the Cats was not going to be bullied and made his presence known down inside the guys on CBS postgame show was saying the Vols did not get the ball on the post or drive it enough. I think a lot of that had to do with Onyenso. I just wanted to give the big guy some props. He had 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Onyenso definitely made a difference.  And that goal tending call was a garbage make up call for them missing Reeves stepping out of bounds.

First of all, just a massive win. Top tier win on the road, locks down the 2 seed in the SEC tournament which is also big.

But I aged a year in that last minute

I couldn't sit for it, pretty sure I logged about 2,000 steps in my living room and kitchen during the last 8 minutes.  The Elijah Craig in hand wasn't enough to calm the nerves, I had to keep moving.

  13. That was a bit more stressful than it needed to be down the stretch.  With that said, hats off to Tennessee for never quitting.

Now that the game is over, I'm sure there's a lot of Kentucky fans celebrating but I really couldn't believe Tennessee was favored by 9.5 points.

Love it and hope UK plays but doubt they will.

Haven't seen or heard anything about this besides here.

Kentucky was not included in the list of teams being considered at this time.  But I agree, I'd like to see them in it.
