Why is that clever? Just because he's from Ludlow? Still pretty dumb.
Somebody must be a fan out kids going to school out of there district, I think it's pretty good.
-
CovCath was mocking NewCath for a much smaller student section and chanted" Where is your student section" NewCath responded "Fighting Crime, Fighting Crime"
I don't get it?
-
Back in our day if another teams player would hit the deck hard or trip or something we'd always chant "How's that floor taste?", this one was effective bc it put all the attention on that one athlete.
-
Regardless this tema will perform down the road,.. I thought they'd pull it out in SK fashion however there is still a tourney to be played....
-
I just drove past SK on my way home from a friends, 25 minutes til tip off but the parking lots were already full, as far as the paved lots that is. Should be a good one at SK.

Gosh hearing these numbers,.. I was just happy when I got up around three hundred a couple years out of high school. These guys are putting up some big numbers, they might out weight me by over a 100(I'm 175) lbs but that's still impressive.

Simon Kenton class of 03
-
Way to go GRC, Congrats to Coach Humphrey and Company.
-
I'm not sure exact lifts on some of these players from Rockcastle County but their reps in the 185lb bench are impressive.
Durham: 27-30 times
Robbins: 33-36 times
Hines: 24-26 times
Daughtery: 34-36 times
Those are the only lineman that I can be sure of right now, the rest are doing well into their twenties as well, just not sure of the number. I'll try to find out the lift for these lineman. I know that Rock could have 1,900 pounds on the front line counting their tight end in total body weight.
Does that mean that most of these kids are over 300 lbs?

I was actually surprised when Elbert didn't produce more last season, I've known this kid sense he was in Elementary school and he'd play with us guys that were 5,6,7 years older than him and could hold his own, now that wouldn't be saying much but back then it was. I mean all the guys he played against played AAU, or middle and high school ball. I'm glad to see him playing well lately, might have to see if I can catch the second half of the game fri.

I'd like to see some height and WEIGHT with some of these numbers, also of these bahemiths whom will actually see the field?
-
If you are talking about the past season the for Simon Kenton it would be Silas Siffel with a Squat of 495 and Bench of 325. This kid as an ungodly amount of strength!
How much did he way, I was thinknig he'd shed some lbs. or atleast gotten more lean?
-
I personally think this could be up for WV, I know that SK and Scott haven't put AMAZING athletes on the field but certainly some very good ones and I could think of a variety of people from just a few years back that might've played for Walton, plus the area I THINK is likely to experience more growth over the next five years. Independence and Crittinden have grown ALOT, Walton will follow suite soon as well.
-
With the coaching staff being what it is now a days and the players and school always being rivals, has the rivalry between these two increased within the past 3 or 4 years?
-
Elbert was big he had a lot of offensive rebounds and a nice dunk.
So Elbert can dunk pretty well? Wasn't aware of this how tall is he now about 6'2 or so?
-
Congrats to Hester, he should total over 1500 for his career, that would have to put him in the top five in school history.
Who else is in the top five Neer?
-
would be interesting to see Walton getting a program started, think it'd help the area grow some as well. Yet it would be hard with that few numbers in this area I'd think, definitely going to need a feeder system.

Simon Kenton missed the thread title by a year, just like Doug Schloemer missed it by two years. How am I being petty and your not?
I'd like to know how you figure that one, this is there first year in the 8'th and doesn't the title say the past 25 years? Not the the past 24 years and the current season as well.... :sssh:

I think NKY 4A was good this whole year, i was one of the first one's to say we're not down just that theirs more parity. Gee took a while for that one to catch on.
As for playing louisville i do and always will think it's not a level playing field same class doesn't mean same size in numbers to pull from, plus how many of the private school kids work, go to school, and play football at the same time. Not nearly as many as in NKY 4A i'd say.
-
Can't beat public schools or can't beat private?
What was NKY 4A's record against private or independent schools this year?
And they say it's a level playing field.
-
NO! Good players do not always make good coaches, but that's not to take away from the coaches that have had distingished playing careers who are also great coaches.
I agree excellent players don't always make good coaches,.. but it certainly motivates the players in many aspects of there lives.

Surely they can find a coach in Pennsylvania where High School Football is loved to find someone who can get this team back to where they were back in the late 90's. Just seems like a publicity stunt to me for some reason.
Think about what you're saying,.. i bet there's probably going to be some quality coaches saying "hey i'll take that challenge i'll do what i can to help out and see if i can turn things around for you all."
So of course the for the school it sort of a publicity stunt, it's going to likely help them out big time in the long run.
And if nothing else, the courage, motivation, and understanding these young men will likely get from being coached by one of the games greatest of all time is just amazing. I bet many of these young athlete's will benefit amazingly from this for years to come, regardless of the circumstances.
