Injuries mean you can't play, hurt is it's uncomfortable. Their are many that can't tell the difference.
-
It should be a good game, I'm not really impressed with Dixie yet, though they did roll over a bad Scott team. On the other hand SK's also not looking as good as some had thought, it's a toss up, I don't know, but think SK should win in my mind.
-
Even though OH teams aren't coming away with W's thus far, they're certainly showing that they can and making football in and around the area look pretty darn good.
-
I sad before the game in my prediction I thought SK's kicking game could hurt them, sounds like it pretty much killed them. Guess I was just to optimistic this time. It'll only be harder from here on out so if SK wants it they'd better work their butt's off in practice and on friday nights. Noone's going to just hand them any W's.
-
Oh I get it, so if the Heisman can't run it then the poor litte high school kid can't do it. Come on bro, speed is speed:cool:
Yeh and blinder speed is the worst, sometimes you have to look through someone else's goggles before you realize that your's aren't very accurate..
I'm sure he's fast, but highly doubt he can run a 4.32 non wind aided 40.:irked:

Depends on how the field is tomorrow night(today), I' say SK on a dry field with not too many mistakes can win by 12-14, wet field I say they win by 7-9... Kicking games been a weakness for SK thus far.

I dunno what's been said on here previous to my post, just read the title of the thread and went from the heart, God said "go and be fishers of men", in my mind that's saying bring people to me, show them the way, and I don't see how that could be anything but marketing. The only thing that sounds bad about this is marketing this day in age is such a dirty word to so many people and something some don't care to hear about...

I'll say a prayer for your fella's tonight, may god be with them and let him lead them through these tribulations as they try to deal with them...

I think St. Henry would have lost even with Schmidt. It was turnovers from Mason County's pressure that did in the Crusaders, and Schmidt wasn't exactly their best ball handler.
Mason County also I thought looked leaps and bounds better in the finals than they did in that game.
Not their best ball handler, but had the most size, MC couldn't stop him inside the paint and he was one of the teams best passers. I really find it hard to believe it's much of a game if he's still in it. MC won buy a single basket, and just as you said it all came together after Schmidt was out of that St. Henry line up.
-
Tough call, should be a good game.
-
Highlands only lost something like 3 games that year I think. 1 was to Covington Catholic @ HHS - another was to Mason Co. & Chris Lofton in one of those big Christmas Tournaments.
The next year Cov Cath ran the table in NKY.
Another was SK, I remember that regional game, it was crazy. Great game, say whatever happened to old Neltner?
-
That was maybe the best year for NKY Hoops ever. I guess that's for another thread...
My senior year, and I loved it. I'll agree with you on that GT. Awesome year, with so much energy from all schools and lots of good teams.
-
That St. Henry team was very good, but they aren't top 10 all-time in NKY. Dixie, Ryle, and Highlands all beat them during the season. SK may have gotten them as well.
No but darnit they should've, we hated those stupid chants, although we had some good ones, theirs just made me want to punch something. Could've been the fact that we were losing, gee I dunno...
-
I'll throw in the 02-03 St. Henry team as one of the all time best teams in NKY. Probably not the best, but top 10. Lost in first round of sweet 16 by 2 points to eventual champ Mason Co.(Masons closest game of the tourney). They lead until starting center Schmidt hurt his leg. What could of been.
I dunno about even top 10 but that team did play well together, and I don't see any way MC stops them if Shcmidt hadn't got hurt. I was pretty urked about how that one played out...
-
I have no bias against SK. I said they were a very good team, just not the best that N KY has ever produced.
I do think Holmes 78, 90, and 80's team were the best to come out of N KY.
As I have said twice now, these three teams were voted the best all time in N KY by fans and the media a few years back in a poll conducted by the KY Post.
Yeh well then I guess it must be right huh, sense the news paper said so...
-
I agree with 100%. To give an example, SK had a very good team in 81, but in 1980 when they played Holmes, they got smoked by 30+.
SK is not the best team to ever play in NKY. As I stated in my previous post, the KY post did this same poll years ago and the fans and media voted on it, and SK was somewhere between 6-10. Holmes had the first three spots.
Hey come on now I've read your post, go back and read them again if need be and tell me you don't have a biased either against SK, or that Holmes was better. Either way you fold it there is something there...
-
Ryle will win this one in a very close one. Dunbar running back will have lots of yards though...
I wonder what Gray will have to say about all of those yards. Perhaps "anything you can do I can do better"......
-
If you have basic cable it should be channel 49.
Now when is the game?
-
I saw Mt. Carmel back in '90 and they ran the option to perfection back then, one of the best HS offensive teams I've ever seen. I believe Donovan McNabb went to Mt. Carmel.
Yeh they sound pretty solid to me...
-
I dunno but I think SK is a top 5 or six team as of right now, as for the rest I'd say
1Highlands
2Cov Cath
3Beechwood Tigers
4The Raiders
-
I think what I was trying to say is that it was a team(Holy Cross that'd beat two 4A schools) and a 4A team(Seneca) and Lloyd which is always descent, if you look at the time of my post it says alot about the confusion(I hadn''t just woke up either)... lol
-
Saw this being advertised. I myself am gonna try to go.
-
I really don't remember what I was referring to at the time.. lol
-
Wow. Tough schedule....
Maybe not the best, but it was against 2 4A schools, and a 2A school which had beat 2 4A schools. So I'd say it's not that bad, especially sense SK if coming from scratch.
