Atwell showed up, sounds like.

At end of third quarter, the announcer said "15 minutes to go." Weak.

The announcer isn’t too good.
That is a gross understatement. They are terrible.

I get the impression that Bryan Station and their fans are really "feeling it" for this game. Trinity will need to match or exceed their intensity. Should be a heck of a game.

Trinity's transfers from Western - Josiah Lawson and Julius Edmonds - were officially cleared to play this morning, so they will be able to play against Male.

There was a big kid (I'm guessing 6'8") who played 8th grade basketball at St. Raphael (a Catholic parish school) last year. There was some talk that he might go to DeSales. Does anyone know where he is going to high school now? I'm sorry but I do not know his name.
-
Rumor has it that there is a "no motorcycle" clause in his contract.
-
The Western transfers are just waiting for the KHSAA Commissioner to sign off on the order. I erroneously thought this would be done today.

Drae Vasser had 40 for T and Damone King had 37 for the home-standing Colts, per Jason Frakes.

I'm afraid that nowadays if schools don't have access to a big NIL pocketbook, then they're doomed to mediocraty. Stoops might have been right when he requested more NIL money after the Georgia loss. It'll be interesting (and likely disheartening) to see the landscape of college football in 4-5 years.

Nice experience for the kids from Australia. I'm sure the DeSales students enjoyed the spectacle too. The real test for the Colts will be tomorrow night when the Trinity Rocks come to DeSales to open the regular season. I hope the Colts can hold their own against a Trinity team that many people think is one of the top teams in Kentucky. If DeSales can rebound with them they might be able to pull off the upset. Should be a good one!
I've heard that the two transfers from Western have been declared eligible for Trinity, so that will make the Colts' job a little tougher.

Scanned tickets have been less than 5000 all season.
That is very sad and sobering.

I would think that the UL athletic department and YUM Center are taking financial hits. I did not go to this game but when the camera panned the crowd, it looked like 5-6,000 fans, despite the news article I read saying it was 10,000+.

I think this game will be more of an arm wrestle then a track meet. To me, CCH certainly has the bona fides to be in the championship game and could very well upend the Rebels.

It was GRC they won the 4A that year. They actually on their way to the state championship they beat Male, Trinity in the semis I believe and the St. X in the Championship.
If I'm not mistaken they beat Trinity and St. X on successive weekends (not sure of the order). I don't know who they beat before that. GRC had two great backs and ran the wing T to perfection.

ESPN is ranking Sacred Heart 9th in the nation.

Put some Atomic Balm on it and suck it up, kid.
....Or, as one coach around Louisville used to say (way back when), "Tape an aspirin to it."

If true I seriously think this is a bad move by Stoops.
And a bad move by Texas A&M.

My question is, Where has J. J. Weaver been all season?

I was impressed with Bryan Station's QB the first time they played.....was elusive and had a very good arm. I hope Trinity's defense can carry the day for one more game. This year's T team seems more like a Coach Dennis Lampley team than a Bob Beatty team.

As a Trinity fan, I feel fortunate to have won the game. From about mid-second quarter to the end of regulation, I thought FD was the better team. Trinity's home side stands were as packed as I can ever remember.

Hope UL would make run at Shaka Smart.

Very sad. Condolences to his family and the Bronco family.

That was a heck a tournament with Purdue, Tennessee, Kansas and Marquette. Kudos to whoever lined up these teams.

Thought this would be a closer game but these things happen. A lot of good teams have been CCH's position.
