Sounds like the Tigers did not come to play-------not that they lost but the margin.

M scored 12 in second half.

I am no basketball expert any means but I am concerned that Trinity may have lost little of its mojo lately. They have had a slew of injuries (most everyone is back now) but I wonder if not having Coach Szabo is affecting them now. No offense to the interim coach but Szabo "has been there, done that" in a big way. I hope my concerns are unfounded. I guess we'll see.

For 7th Region........
District winners: St. X, Eastern, Manual, Trinity.
District runners-up: Shawnee, Ballard, Male, Seneca.
I believe the drawing to set the bracket will occur Saturday morning.

Great effort by Seneca and House who had 30. For Trinity Edmonds had 21 and Vasser had 19 (may have those totals reversed).

Way back when, the solution would have been simple: the university president or athletic director would tell the students "don't do it'" and that would have been the end of it. But those days are obviously long gone.

Isn't Haworth, Male's BB coach, also from Hoptown?
-
Khsaa stats said he went 8-8 on 3's. If that is right, that is some good shooting.

No need to worry about court-storming tonight.

For some needed comedic relief for UK fans, Bruce Pearl is complaining to the SEC about UK being too physical. Let the laughter begin.
If I knew how to do it, I would insert the the song "Let's Get Physical" by Olivia Newton-John here.

If you're talking about Vasser, I have heard that they are shooting for the regional tournament, but I can't guarantee the accuracy of that.

Any relation to Tony Driver?

You see a result like this and you wonder if any team can win 6 straight in the NCAA tournament, but of course someone will. I thought UConn were world beaters against Marquette a few days ago. I guess they still could be world beaters as long as their world does not include Creighton.

Guards are going to have to bring it. LSU has a solid backcourt, but that depends on if Jalen Cook plays. He's had a bad hamstring that has kept him out of some games. Of course, he didn't play at South Carolina Saturday and they still won. Jordan Wright has been solid all year. They both average around 15 a game.
Tigers were 11-6 in mid-January, then lost 6 out of 7 before they beat South Carolina Saturday. That game is such a head-scratcher, especially with LSU being without their leading scorer. I just don't get it.
And while we're all giddy about how the Cats looked Saturday, who knows how they'll respond? Will they continue to build on how they've been playing, or will it be a step or two back? They have to show me they have turned a corner before I can pick them to win.I certainly agree with your last paragraph.

I don't know the answer to this, but is Kelly such a prize? Does he still have the drive? If I'm not mistaken, he has not done very well at his last two stops.

What was the meaning of Tre Mitchell patting the air about 10 inches off the ground during the game? It was something positive, I think, but I haven no idea what it was supposed to signify.

I think Miquel Coleman might be the best coach in the 7th region. Look for Manual to be a strong contender for as long as he is there.

Is South Carolina coming back to earth?

UConn looked scary good.....they can really pass the balll

Sheppard did so much for UK in the second half---- breaking the press, running the point and controlling the game. Hats off to him. His best game, I think.

I don't think Vasser played for Trinity. He has been out the last couple of games with a foot/ankle problem. I hear he may not be back until the region.
-
Same with me. I only go if Trinity is in it or if there would be some family or other tie to a player.

This was a tough game to watch. Two bad teams in a near empty arena with terrible announcers. Ugly all around.
Agree.
