Oh WOW...True story! I have no doubt he is up in heaven reading BGP. There will be no "rest in peace" for LSURock when it comes to Trinity.

I have no issue with his/her spirit and no doubt X has MANY great athletes. My fear is not a real game has been played yet and already potential bulletin board material. I'm just thinking the "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

In 1984: T won the regular season game 12-7. X won the play-off game 20-0. There were very good players from both teams (X and T). T stand-outs were The Gardner Brothers, Andy Murray, Danny Shaw, George Frederick, David Iglehart, Greg Lawson, Bubba Crane and I know there are several more but just not coming to mind at the moment. I just don't recall so much hoopla from back in the day. Today you seem to hear so much more about the kids. I assume that to be because of the media, BGP, blogs, social media, etc.. I do believe the 2011 T team wins out in the "D1 caliber."

Quick did not. Hatcher I don't know for sure. I do still think it is part numbers but not all of it. There are several reasons T is getting even better. The simple and no-brainer is the tradition of the program including, kids, coaches, parents, alums and fans. T has the Catholic grade schools kids coming to play for the program (which has always been there) but more so today it is helping that T is getting more kids from the Little/Youth Rec Leagues around the area. I don't know if I would call T a D1 Farm? I could understand if they were putting 10/20 kids a year into D1 programs but to my knowledge that has never happened. What kind of numbers would constitute a D1 Farm?

saintxmom6 a just a few sincere words of advice for you if choose to listen. Oxnard comes off a little rough around the edges. He does have a way of saying some things that will get under your skin (been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.):lol::lol: He really is a very kind, caring and "in the know" X fan. As a former parent of a program try not to get sucked into what is posted on here. Most are just fans wanting to state their opinion. SOME don't think before they post because they are so caught up in their team. When I first joined BGP. I did not like Oxnard, RockPride or Gametime AT ALL!! :lol: Today I respect them and consider them my friends. Again...just my two cents so you can take it or leave it. I hope St. X has a great year and look forward to watching them play.

I am surprised nobody has posted the "preparing the 1st team to play an entire game yada, yada." I don't understand when any team does this but have realized it just how some programs work.
