  1. Before the big game last week, the former three time Super Bowl champ saw 16 year old Jordan in his wheelchair in the front row. Jordan was one of 19 in attendance with the Make A Wish Foundation. Jordan has been a huge sports fan all of his life, and Jerry Rice gave him a thrill of lifetime when he spotted Jordan, walked up to him and handed one of his Super Bowl rings he was wearing for Jordan to try on. As you can see in the video, Jordan was elated! I've never been a 49ers fan, but from that moment on, I will always be a Jerry Rice fan!

This brought a tear to my eye immediately. Jordan is my great nephew and is suffering from an incurable and very rare disease known as Mitochondrial syndrome. The mitochondria in the cells throughout our bodies are responsible for creating 90% of the energy needed to sustain life and support organ function. When mitochondria malfunction, organs start to fail, people get sick, and many die.

Jordan is a wonderful young man and is a student at Conner High school. I just wanted to share his special moment with all of you.

  2. Do I expect him to come in next year and light the world on fire and be competing for the playoffs not at all. I think he will have an up and down rookie year with some good moments, and bad moments. I do think he will bring excitement to the team and will see it staring to click the last few games of the season. Then start to carry over to 2021 and possibly competing for a playoff spot. Then 2022 is the year I think they will be in a great position to go all out for it.

If they go Young they wouldn’t compete any better next year still. Then they still would be a year or more away because they then still would have to find their qb. People say take Young now and then Lawrence next year. The Bengals played the toughest schedule in the NFL this year and was still an overtime win away against Miami from not having the top pick. Chances are they won’t be in a position to draft Lawrence or Fields next year no matter if they take Young or not. So then you set yourself back further if you still can’t find your qb.

Maybe you're right, then again maybe you're wrong. None of us know for sure, but knowing how lacking they are at so many positions, I seriously don't see them contending for the playoffs in 2 seasons regardless of who they pick. I hope you're right and I wish them luck with whatever their decision.

  3. Their offensive line is not good, but also may not be as far away as people think. Honestly it will come down to Jonah Williams. As long as he doesn’t end up a bust, they can have a decent line as early as next year even with drafting Burrow first.

A guy who may end up being a possible steal and starter for the Bengals is Fred Johnson. Pass Blocking wise it has only been two games, but he hasn’t allowed a single pressure.

A qb definitely can make a team better sooner rather than later. As long as you get the qb right. At the end of the day you just never know, however if they draft him and he does end up a stud. Then that allows you to build the team up a lot faster than even trading the pick and possibly missing out on getting a stud QB.

I hope your right for Bengal fan's sake. I don't feel they're as close as you do to being able to build around a number 1 QB pick. If they take Burrow, I hope they can and he's successful.

  4. I mean I feel like I have a pretty good idea who they are. I could be wrong and if I am I’ve never been the type to run from it. We’ll just have to wait and see.

That sounds good to me, Grant. We disagree, but that's okay. If you're right, I'll tell you how wrong I was. Enjoy the rest of the season.

  5. Your Irish would be extremely competitive against Florida and Auburn. All you see is the SEC patch on the jersey. If you think the only difference between the the ND/UGA game and the UF/UGA game is one point you’re sadly mistaken. The ND game was close and had a chance to win it at the end. Georgia dominated Florida and Florida’s TD at the end made it closer than it actually was. You say your Irish have to earn it but you just throw around praise for Florida and Auburn despite them not earning anything. I guess that patch on the jersey gives them a pass.

:lol2: You THINK you know me, you obviously don't.

  6. And Florida and Auburn aren’t overrated despite not performing any better than your Irish? You’re so biased towards the SEC that you even devalue your own team. Your Irish put up a way better fight against Georgia on the road than Florida did when half the stands were wearing blue and orange. Is this what it’s come to? I’m on defending the Irish because even the resident ND fans have been indoctrinated? Yikes.

You make no sense. You even want to defend a team you don't like just for the sake of a pointless argument. My Irish would have lost to both Florida and Auburn this year. Maybe you haven't watched the three teams play.

BTW, the difference between the Georgia/Notre Dame game and the Georgia/Florida game was one point. How is one point way better? Until my Irish win these kind of games, they don't deserve the rankings they get early on. That's the difference between me and some Buckeye fans, I expect the Irish to EARN it. They haven't.

  7. So being ranked 13th isn’t comparable to being ranked 10th or 11th? Ok.

You don't seem to be grasping that I'm telling you the rankings are a joke. The system is a joke. The BCS is a joke. It's what we have, so we have to deal with it.
