Barnett suffered a severe ankle sprain last week in a regular season game and Sanders had a broken ankle right before Christmas and just got his cast off. Barnett is the starting center and Sanders the point.

I really do wish that South Laurel would have been at full strength...........After watching all of these teams, I have no doubt that South Laurel would have won this tournament...........but then again I am a little bit bias,

I think the winner of the Scott Co. - Wayne Co. game will win the tournament, although Mayfield has looked pretty good in the opposite bracket. Wayne Co made a nice run at the end to defeat South Laurel. South Laurel had won the two regular season games with Wayne but couldnt pull off the W tonight. Very difficult to beat a good team three times in a season and even more so with Sanders and Barnett sidelined. Scott Co. looked very impressive today but I believe Wayne Co can win this game. #54 for Wayne is a horse and the officials at the KBA seem to really let it play very physical on both ends. If that is the case tomorrow then that will help Wayne Co.

6 Technicals I think, maybe it was 5..........alot of trash talking and pushing and shoving going on. Just another friday night game in Manchester. Aside from that, both teams really played hard. Clay Co. pulled it out at the end 57-53.

Corbin defeated Boiling Springs 60-52. I just caught the end of this one on the radio and was listening to the stats and noticed no Josh Crawford tonight. What is the latest with him, I had heard that tonight was going to be his first game back.

South Laurel Middle won 2-3 from Jackson Co. tonight at Jackson. The 6th grade lost and the 7th and 8th won. Souths 7th grade is now 8-0 on the season after a 66-11 win tonight. South's 8th also won 46-43 over a good Jackson Co. 8th grade squad. They will be at North Laurel Middle this Thursday.

This was an 8th grade tournament. Meece 7th is the team that won the D2 state.

The McCreary tournament that AverageJoesGym posted about was an 8th grade tournament. I really thought Meece would beat Wayne Co. in the finals. South Laurel lost to Whitley Co. by 1, lost to Wayne Co. by 3 and defeated Williamsburg by around 30.

Are the twins playing 8th grade this year or did they get moved up?

South Laurel Middle hosted McCreary Central and Page today. South's 6th won both games easily. South's 7th defeated Page 64-15 and then defeated a very good McCreary Central 7th grade team 40-29. South 8th grade defeated Page 53-22 and lost to McCreary's 8th 44-41.
