  1. Clay County residents alone filled prescriptions for 2.2 million doses of hydrocodone & about 617,000 doses of oxycodone during a 12 month period in 2016. That's roughly 150 doses for every man, woman and child.

McKesson Corporation is a major part of the problem -- between January 2010 and the end of 2016, McKesson alone distributed 18.4 million doses of painkillers in Floyd County, KY -- enough for 477 pills for every adult and child in the county. Perry County, KY was even worse, with 526 doses per person.

The only reason McKesson is supplying them in such quantities is because the pharmacies are keeping up with the script volume, this goes back to the prescribers.

  2. Not that I know much about the previous staff, but I’m a little surprised there hasn’t been a little more turnover, especially with a new coach not from the previous staff.

It could be that Coach Wallace doesn't want to make too many changes right off the bat, more gradual. I mean Wolford tried a bunch of changes in his first year that didn't really turn out too well. Of course I could be remembering that completely wrong, so I may have missed something there.

  3. There's only two things I do in the shower...one of those requires a partner. Neither require a beer. Not much of a beer drinker anyway.

Swing dancing is pretty dangerous in a shower.

  4. It was successfully used in couples therapy for some time before someone going through said therapy decided to find someone to synthesize it so he could sell it. Under professional guidance it was pretty helpful, but this guy realized he could make a fortune off selling it at clubs and then it became a real problem.

Oddly enough it was never made a Schedule I through legislative action but through a court order.

I know FSU has been doing some research into using the psychoactive compounds in hallucinogenic mushrooms for similar treatments. I probably should follow up on that one, I don't remember any results.

  5. So...what happens in the next one? The easy "fix" for the death of all these characters is to use the time stone to rewind time (similar to what Thanos did to the Vision). But, that seems almost like a cop-out, doesn't it?

Also, if just touching the power stone was supposed to be too much for a mere mortal (as we saw in Guardians), what the heck is the whole gauntlet going to do to them? So, the question would be...who would wear it? Again, the easy answer (at least to me) is Thor. He's already been shown to handle not one, but two weapons forged by the dwarves. So, why not 3? And if it is Thor...how far back in time does he go? Back to save Loki? His father? His mother?

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised if it is Captain Marvel that does it. If Adam Warlock had been introduced by now then it would definitely have been him, but we likely won't be seeing him between now and the next one since he was only teased in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

  6. Because most people, pot heads included, are lazy. :lol2:

Im not arguing for it against marijuana, i don't care whether or not it's legalized. But the black market won't go away.

A new CNN article says crime in Colorado has risen since marijuana legalization. Whether or not thats because of marijuana is debatable, however some claim it has brought in a lot of transients. The article also says legalization did nothing to the black market.

Colorado governor won'''t rule out banning marijuana again. Here'''s why.

Never said it would go away, but with ease of access of a legal alternative most people wouldn't bother. How many people do you know in wet counties that actually buy from a bootlegger? There may be a handful, but by and large most people will go with something that is consistent, regulated, and somewhat safer. Why bother with finding a dealer when you can just go to a local shop instead? Advantage of that too is that they won't really be looking to push harder drugs for higher profit either. Most dealers would love to have a pot head on coke or heroin since they are much more physically addicting. You average clerk making minimum wage just wants to get the transaction over with as fast as possible so they can go back to looking at their phone.

  7. Notre Dame was BY FAR the worst game experience I've ever had. :lol2: I get the history and nostalgia, but that place is a dump. Give me my jumbotrons, chair back seats and modern bathrooms over that place any day.

The stadium has been improved since then. I was there for that game and the USC game this past season, much different.
