  1. There are already seperate classes for size. And while we're on that...why doesn't DeSales and Holy Cross dominate anything? They're private
  2. Lets see...California has how many of millions of people more than KY...NY as well. No basis for argument here at all.
  3. Bottom line. Get better coaches, teach better fundamentals, win more games. Do we remember a few short years ago, when Seneca dominated. What did they do? They fired a good coach who built them into a good program. What is Seneca doing these days? Nothing. Have we forgotten Bobby Redman? Male has had how many losing seasons since he's been there? Trinity has had more in that span of time..so where is that disadvantage? I didn't hear anybody crying foul after Male smashed Trinity in 2000. I suppose since Trinity and St. X have won the last 4, its the old story told again. I dont see an advantage. I see people making excuses. Trinity has played Maunal three years in a row..and all three years, the game has come down to the final play...but then again..Manual is a rising team, one that isn't making excuses, they're getting better. There are coaches and administrators out there who believe that its within them to win a championship, and they are striving to do so. Then there are coaches and administrators who are crying foul at private schools, and they're falling faster and faster. Its not about private and public, its about doing what you need to do to win, or not. Plain and Simple!
  4. Ok, so please explain the private schools recent domination in basketball, wrestling, and baseball? Oh thats right, there has BEEN no domination in those sports.
  5. If only that were true. Because of the numbers difference, Trinty plays very few both ways. The smaller 4A schools have to play many more both ways and their # 2's are much weaker - also because of the #'s. If you really think it is 11 on 11, then you don't know much about 4A football. [/b] Now I dont know anything about 4-A football. Well answer this then....why did Trinity win state in 2001 with 3 people playing both ways...and finish runner up in 2000 with 6 people playing both ways... I agree with what a poster said earlier.... QUIT COMPLAINING AND JUST GET BETTER
  6. Well...Bob Dole says that if Bob Dole has an opinon on something and it offends other people, then Bob Dole says the TRUTH hurts. Its such a shame that people on here say that numbers are an advantage....FOR WHAT?, Bob Dole asks. Im sure when Bear Bryant went 8-0 all those years with 40 players on his team that it was because he had NUMBERS to choose from. So let Bob Dole finish his arguement with this, ITS STILL 11 on 11...NOT 150 on 50
  7. Im gonna flip the whole thing on TheMan...if anyone is at a DISADVANTAGE...its private schools. Reason is simple. Im not sure of the number...but it is around $6000 a year to attend either Trinity or X. So when you are a solid athlete with a chance to go to college...sure..you'd want to go to Trinity or X...but you cannot afford it...so where do ya go...Male...Manual...Ballard..Eastern. I mean...lets not forget..the last time a private school athlete won Mr. Football was I believe...1988....heck...Male has had 2 of the last 3. The fact is that MORE college athletic scholarships are given to public school athletes....with a very few being given to private school athletes. There is a considerable difference between the high profile athletes in public and private schools. Now....with that being said, where is the advantage. The fact is simple...Trinity and St.X are founded on TEAM ball...De La Salle is the same way, a private school...strong tradition...very few stand out athletes....but a strong team like atmosphere. So END the rubbish of the "numbers" advantage...because they have to PAY to go to Trinity...that puts trinity at a DISADVANTAGE.
  8. I have a huge block of cheese for all of the whiners here who say numbers matter....I want to make something VERY clear....NUMBERS DO NOT MATTER....believe it or not....its still 11 on 11...no matter how you shape it...I repeat...the game of football is 11 on 11.... 11 on 11 When Trinity won thier first state title...they had only 300 or so in the school...so was it the numbers then???? Trinity wins because they EXPECT to win...its tradition...Im sick of the numbers scenario being everyones excuse....and it is just that...AN EXCUSE!!!!
  9. Im suprised nobody has mentioned male's stadium. It was built recently..and is VERY nice..Manual is the best...I dont think you can argue there....I remember as a child that Trinity played some of its bigger games there...back when Ballard was strong..in the 80's...they used to hold it there because of the size of the crowd. Man..that stadium has history
