I heard that Euton was sick, other than that , what did Rowan do to shut him down? Did they double and triple team him?
They went box and one on Euton most of the game. That hepled Jackson to find some holes.

I love what the Browns are doing. For the first time since the team returned to the NFL, it appears they on track to compete at the upper levels. This past year they proved they could pass, they could run and they are trying to shore up the devense. The future is looking very positive.:thumb:

I have had the opportunity to see both Miller and Hopson this year. I think they are both great players at about the same level. However, I give Miller the nod for the way he handles himself. He seems very humble and just plays the game, no "me" attitude. Hopson wasn't bad, but I really liked Millers class.

What is the date and time of Ashland-Fairview as well as Boyd-Rose Hill? Thanks.

This is a tough time for Ashland. This wasn't really supposed to be a big year but they got off to such a nice start to the season that perhaps expectations become a bit unreasonable. I wonder how much the loss of Rowe hurt this team mentally. He seemed to be on his way to becoming a solid inside player, his loss has made Ashland really thin on the inside. Also, the loss of your own basketball court had to be a real downer. I still think this can be a dangerous team. You know what happens when a Cat gets backed into a corner. Nonetheless, another nice win for an improving Rose Hill team. The coaching staff has done a nice job getting a lot of players involved. Confidence is everything heading down the stretch. Rose Hill has it and I hope Ashland gets theirs back. Good luck to all!
One other thing, I have really enjoyed watching Matt Thomas for several years now. He plays hard and with nothing but class. Most good young players eventually become a bit cocky and arrogant by the time they are seniors. Not Matt, pure class all the way.

Who is going to ValHalla and the Ryder Cup?? I will be there at least on Saturday-once in a lifetime opportunity.

I personally think that no one wanted to deal with him-good move on their part probably. It just wasn't worth the chance keeping him around. His past really got him I think. I do wish he had stayed for a while.

I'll let Jed or possibly Rickyp or Fastbreak say what it means on senior night tomorrow night. We will be short a senior on the floor, but not on the team. I'll defer to the other RH folk to elaborate. It will be an emotional evening for most of us. I'll be there, Lord's will, and am looking forward to our senior(s) being honored.
All senior students at Rose Hill will be honored, I believe, prior to the game. It will be a nice evening. David Garnes, of course, will be an important part of the ceremony. It will be a special evening. With a really good Fairview team and Coach Rexy, what a great way to spend the evening.:thumb:

The bottom line is, during the Brooks tenure, he and his staff have taken what would be called "average to slightly above average" recruiting classes(per national media experts) and taken the program to it's highest level in 20 years. Therefore, the staff clearly knows how to take players and motivate them to exceed the perceived potential. All of this should boad well for the future. I think the program is in great hands, probably the best ever.:thumb:

At the very least I bet he gets to meet Bubba in a back alley somewhere when he least expects it.:thumb:

I don't this his move was classless since he already shook hands. How about "unprofessional"? If his players were required to stay, he should have stayed. No question in my mind.

The bottom line in this one is Rose Hill played a great 3 quarters but did not match the intensity Hazard came out with to start the 4th quarter cutting the 14 point lead to 10 or so. Then when Jackson picked up the 3rd and 4th fouls and went to the bench(my guess is for 4 minutes in the 4th) Rose Hill could not get into their offense and Hazard seized the moment. Rose Hill only scored, I believe, only 6 in the 4th, not enough. A great showing for RH and the 16th, congrats to Hazard and good luck against UH.

One round? I have had them for about 7 months now, it's more than one round. You obviously have no clue what I'm talking about. And I realize it has to do with confidence. That's ALL it is. Making it all mental and nothing to do with mechanics.
The "yips" are a whole new thread. "Yips" have truly been known to be terminal. True yips are physical, not mental. They come with age mostly as the small twitch muscles take over. I have seen some sad cases. If you truly have them go see a pro, that is your best bet. Good luck.:thumb:

My fiance saw this in Chicago a few years back and I have been wanting to see it ever since. This is great news for me, so I don't have to travel to Illinois.
I also saw this in Chicago about 3 years ago. It was one of the most amazing things you will ever see. The displays are extremely well done in a non offensive manner. It's well worth seeing.

These two statements say it all!!! This is the only thing that will help. It shows with some that have and do go to the camps. I know of three or four that do this and they have improved a lot and moved up into doing some college.
Do you really think that training what I call "wanna be's" who never really played the game is the answer? I agree that more extensive training is better than nothing. But it seems to me you need to have an inate understanding that comes from truly learning the game early on. I am probably wrong but I think more reasonable compensation might attract the better qualified individuals. If there is a pool to choose from then wouldn't the poor officials be more likely to go by the wayside?? If compensation was reasonable then the "director of officials" could then recruit more qualified individuals directly. Just my thoughts, I am probably out in left field.

Folks, people aren't lined up two dep to become officials. This is a thankless job for those who give the effort. I really appreciate those who take the time, effort and energy to take on this task. Therefore, I try to always give them the benefit of the doubt.
I have two solutions: one-coaches must coach and not address the officials in any manner otherwise automatic technicals, two t's and they are out. This would shut them up. OK, this one won't happen.
My other solution is to make the pay more lucrative to attract better qualifed personnel, perhaps $100 or more per game. This way the athletic department of the coaches school gets to foot the bill so the coach can then complain all he wants.
Otherwise, be thankful for those that are willing.:thumb:

All things being equal, I think it's always best to get the ball on the green as quick as possible and get the ball rolling like a putt. That being said, I see many good players, even pros, who go with some type of wedge all the time. The higher handicap player is probably better off running the ball while the low handicap player can hit the low biting shot. For me, it depends on the situation at the time but I find myself going with a sand wedge more and more.

I hope the Tubster and the Gophers do great. I remember when he gladly stopped in the parking lot leaving an All A Classic game and gave my young daughter an autograph. I wish him and his family nothing but the best.
I really hope some day he can come back to Rupp, or whatever arena we have at the time, and be held in the highest esteem. He deserves it.:thumb:

Bath County did whip RH in the prior meeting and played a great game. In that game, for those who may have forgotten, Jackson was a non factor in the second half. He fouled out well before the third quarter ended. That's unlikely to happen a gain. I really like this Bath county team, Cleamons is great to watch but I like Rose Hill by 7.

First of all, anything Heavy Metal tops the list.
Otherwise, the two songs that really get me are, and I am dating myself, "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" and "Wildfire". I feel better already.

It is not like we took Byron Nelson's parking spot.
I think Arnold Palmer got Lord Byron's spot.
-
I agree but it was convenient when I went to the Masters and a guy I was with had a sticker and we parked up front.
Let me get this straight, so you went to the hallowed grounds of Augusta National, the monument to Bobby Jones who is the epitome of character and class, you abuse the use of a handicap sticker and walk probably 4 miles up and down steep hills??? Takes a lot of nerve.

I remember after my wife had a knee surgery and we parked, legally, in a handicap spot to get the wheelchair out to wheel her in the movies. Just before we parked an acquaintance(who works out regularly with weights, etc.) pulled in an adjoining spot. After seeing our endeavor putting the wheelchair together, they decided to move on to an non handicap spot 30 feet away.:irked:

My two choices for eating out would be Carolina Roadhouse(around 48th Ave North on Highway 17) and Gulfstream Cafe(at Garden City overlooking the inlet toward Murrell's Inlet), I will personally guarantee complete satisfaction.:thumb:
Without exception, everyone I have guided to Carlolina Roadhouse raves about the place-trust me on this one.:ylsuper:
