  1. How about this: Dixie -24 Highlands - 21 Dixie plays a slow grinding ground game and slowing down the high power attack of Highlands. That is the only way Dixie can win this game. They have to play a control game.
  2. With me now being a Beechwood parent, I was worried about the year after hearing about the Highlands scrimmage. But after being around the program for a few weeks and seeing the changes the staff and the players have made in my son, I won't worry about the season again. I think Beechwood will do just fine after seeing them against Boone.
  3. With the new 6 class system would NKY football have a decent chance of having 5 of the 6 state champions in one year? By no means will these schools be the only powers in their class but they would have to all be considered one of the favorites to win the state championship each and every year. 1A Beechwood 2A NewCath 3A Highlands 4A CovCath 5A Dixie 6A ???? What does this say about NKY 6A? I think NKY 6A will never have a real power under this new system. Is NKY football just a smaller school area with the expanding population boom up here? Have fun with this debate!
  4. We hosted an event at Ryle a few years ago that a few Trinity people might remember and our stadium only had seating for around 5000. I don't know what the seating or standing room is at the new T stadium is but I think it could be done. I had even talked to Coach Lampley once about doing something down there during one of the many times we came down to give Trinity their first post season scrimmage. And the ticket prices were about $10 at Ryle and think we had quite a few people come to see you guys play a Cincy team if I remember right. If you don't have to split the profits with outside groups, then it can a nice moneymaker for your school or booster group.
  5. He will be in NKY 4A next year as an offense coordinator. And anyone that knows me knows where it will be. If what I understand is true, to be true, there could be lots of problems assoicated with him becoming the offensive coordinator: 1. What will happen when the head coach loses a few games to teams they should beat? 2. Will the natives become restless and call for a change? 3. Will other coaches start to look over their shoulder to him for direction instead of the head coach? 4. Will school adminstration look for a reason to make him the head coach, with all his background most kids would stay in the district instead of leaving for another school. I am sure there are many more questions that we will talk about on here as the annoncement is made sometime in the very near future. On the record, I think the head coach at school X will get along with him on staff but I think there will be great pressure from outside the program to get him in the head job.
  6. I have heard the samething I would guess, that he will be someplace close and I can't wait to talk about the impact it will have if its true. I am told that it is a done deal but we will see. I can't wait till this breaks. Another side of this, who will be some of the top coaches looking at this job from outside the school? Will any of the NKY coaches change schools to get a top program? Will any of the 4A guys leave for a chance to win a state championship? I honestly believe that as long as NKY 4A is paired with the Trinity district, we will always end up on the short side of the scoreboard. 1A or 3A are the best places to win championships for NKY IMO.
  7. What was up with Brady not starting at QB? I know he has had some tough games but to change in the first round of the playoffs seems strange. After all he did lead them to all of their victories and he appeared to be a good leader on the field. I was impressed with him tongiht playing WR and being a real teammate. The kid that played QB throws a nice ball but under the pressure of being at home and in the playoffs, was that the smartest move by the staff?
