Garrard TD. Another off tackle burst. Waiting for XP while injured player is tended to. 26-23 Garrard has their first lead of the game. East needs a good drive and points to give the D a breather. 10:51 left in the game.

Jags let time expire on 3rd qtr as they face a 3rd and 5 from the 6 at start of 4th. Rolling pocket and short pass is no good. Punt team out to kick out of the end zone. Nice punt downed at the 50. Franco was kicking from 8 yards deep

Jags D holds and a great punt has them pinned inside the 10

TD Garrard. XP no good. 23-19 East leading with 6:37 to go in the 3rd

Garrard on the move. Gashing with off tackle runs. Down to the 35 now. They have speed to burn and getting to the edges. Bogged down between the tackles it’s 3rd and 2 from about the 20

TD Jags! XP is blocked. 23-13 11:39 left in the 3rd

Halftime. 17-13 East Jessamine leads and gets the ball to start the second half.

Garrard busts a long one up the middle. 50 yard TD. 2 point conversion fails. 17-13 East. 3:16 in the 2nd.

Lofts a pass to the corner and 30 yard TD after a loss of 5 on the previous play. XP is good. 17-7 East over Garrard with 3:57 to go til halftime.

East D holds! Bad snap on the punt recovered. East has the ball on the 25 with 4:25 left I. 2nd qtr.

Becoming a ref show a little bit now. Nice gain on a counter negated by a holding. This comes after a sideline warning slows things down because the ref wasn’t happy with a photographers location. Next playing big hit across the middle down to the 7 followed by another slant and a TD East! Franco XP is good! 10-7 East 5:35 left in the 2nd.

East holds forcing a punt and take over after a sky high but short kick at the Garrard 45. First play slant leads to a 20 yard pickup and East is marching on Garrard.

Breakdown in communication leads to a 7 yard loss for the QB. East forced to kick the FG and it is good. 7-3 Garrard 11:34 in 2nd qtr

7-0 Garrard with 1:12 left in 1st. Missed TFL led to green grass. Then on ensuing kickoff Garrard kicks short and big run back to the 16 for East. First play gets 9 yards on a quick hitter to the boundary. TO by Garrard after East lines up on 2nd and 1 from about the 5.5 yard line. Next play no gain and quarter comes to an end with East facing 3rd and less than a yard

East Jessamine is hosting Garrard County tomorrow night. Garrard is coming off their first ever win over Somerset. Anyone have any predictions on this? I’m not familiar with Garrard.

Jaguars get back in the win column with a solid victory over North Bullitt after last week’s humbling against Henry County and run their record back to .500 at 2-2 on the season. heavy penalty night, both sides with a ton of work to do to smooth out some mental mistakes. North Bullitt running the triple option caused some issues for the Jaguar defense when they pitched on the edges but most up the gut stuff was handled. Passing game was non existent for North as I think the Jags had 3 INTs. Prayers up to the young man (QB) from North Bullitt who was taken to the hospital after the game. He went down when he was tackled while scrambling and was motionless for a while. It appeared to be a head injury but he did walk off the field with assistance and was later transported by gurney to the ambulance. He did appear awake and talking/moving his limbs so hopefully it is not too serious.

It’s Henry County, not Henry Clay. They’re 4A.

What kind of team does Henry County have? New to the CKy football scene and know next to nothing about them.

Going ahead and starting this thread to hopefully get some feedback. Not familiar with Henry County at all, anyone going? I will be there and will try to update throughout the game.

That I am not sure about. I can only confirm that it is an ankle injury and awaiting updates on severity.

He did leave last weeks game with an injury to his ankle that has not been confirmed as to the severity of it yet.

East Jessamine’s JV Jaguars move to 2-0 on the season after beating Lexington Catholic in a 1:00 pm Labor Day game at East Jessamine. Still some stuff to clean up for the young Jaguars, but after opening with a 56-14 victory over Henry Clay, this was a very nice follow up game. Congratulations to the young Jaguars! And best of luck to the Knights the rest of the way.

They have a fine team there and will be a load to handle going forward. Best of luck (except if they meet East Jessamine again, sorry ?)
