They hadn't had a real game in 6/7 weeks, for real no TK. They had some rust to knock off. They missed a tackle on a punter that led to a score and Barger dropped 2 for sure pick sixes that he makes in his sleep. He also dropped another ball around the 20 on 3rd and long. That kid might not have dropped 3 balls in his whole life.

I know coulda, woulda, shoulda got shot but Lloyd was 2 "elementary" plays away from beating Russell 42-0. They make those plays this Friday night I am certain of that.

Look at Aiken's Ohio schedule and say what you want but Aiken had some stiff competition.

Aiken was better than both of them. Aiken had freak athletes.

Lloyd's varsity might have 5 full games of stats under their belt. The rest are 1st half's and even in their 5 full games, there was a lot of clock management in some where teams couldn't stop their run game in the 4th qtr so Lloyd just put the opponent in the meat grinder. I would compare this game for Lloyd to Aiken. And Lloyd's secondary has come a lonnnnng way since then. I don't even think one of Lloyd's best DB's got a defensive rep that game.

@DRKARK According to these calculations y'all don't stand a chance...?I think you have heard me say that before. According to my calculations y'all should be 5-5 and probably should have hit the road in the opening round and wrapped the season up. Good thing y'all are only worried about what's going on over there at Bartlett Ave. Lloyds numbers are very deceiving. If they really wanted to, no doubt Kaleb Evans could have thrown for 3500+ yards this year and 45+ TD's.

But I think Bell actually uses your scenario in most games regardless who they are playing. Against Pulaski they milked the clock to 10 seconds left at about Pulaski's 30 and handed Pulaski the ball. Didn't even take any shots to win the game. Ask the guy yelling " WE NEED A SENSE OF URGENCY!!!!!!!! "

Bell County gave that game away.

I got my Christmas wish from the Pulaski vs Bell game and get to watch football late in November locally in person. I have to go to this one. I'll make the trip down south next week too.

It has bumped Holy Cross out. This was just a review not a revision. That would be after the State Championships are played for a final.

Without looking at hsratings.com that is how I also seen it. A non biased Beechwood and Cooper fan, I think it's a good matchup for Beechwood. As @Oldercoach stated above. I believe this to be the case also and since Highlands had the sense to ground and pound vs Cov Cath I would have to assume they would do the same vs Beechwood. This is not the year to fight Beechwood with firepower vs firepower. We know what words make up "assume" though too.

Even before Newport beat Holy Cross there was some chatter that Newport could be more deserving of the #10 spot than Holy Cross. I gave HC's record as much respect as I could for as long as I could and Newport settled that one on the field. @DRKARK was a big advocate for Newport in that debate. The big thing was Conner deserved to be at the #9 spot with the molly whopping they put on NCC.

This ranking came out at the end of the regular season when Holy Cross was 10-0. I said an updated one would put HC out. Conner at 9 and NCC at 10 but that if Newport were to make a run and beat KCD and maybe get a grudge match with NCC or make it further than NCC they would have a good arguement for 10. I would of also liked to see NCC and Newport play again with Conley as the full time starter and some games under his belt before hand. Newport is definitely ranked above Holy Cross now wherever they fall in 11-20. I will do a final one when the remaining NKY teams win a State Championship. And I'll find a way to botch it certainly.

If your going to go to Dixie Chili which is a long time favorite of mine, you should hit the Dixie Club a block down the street also. Make sure to tell them your a Murray fan and they will give you a special warm welcoming.

Stringtown Bar and Grill in Florence is a great place about 10 minutes from the field. You got to take into account the holiday might affect some hours wherever you go. But I have spent some holidays there with my lonely self lol
