Not to sound flippant. That "Experienced" Coach way of thinking hasn't worked out lately. Not sure "thinking out of the box" or trying a different path isn't a better choice at this point. Maybe a young hungry dedicated coach might be the way to go. Just my opinion.

I believe the Administration upheavals every couple of years probably didn't help the situation. Coach Fisk knows what he's doing and has been apart of some great staffs. I'm sure years at Holy Cross and Covington Catholic gave him insights to what a good Head Coach is supposed to look like.

For continuity sake and answering the above criteria some have said here. Aren't the 2 coordinators Young guys, still employed at the school as teachers, have connections to the community and have been coordinators at a 5A school. I would guess they would apply. Does having a connection to the last HC hurt their chances? Or do they get a clean slate?

Is Bob Black a candidate? Scott alumni, former Oline Coach, Freshman Head Coach, Former Middle school Coach. Lots of experience, Lots of ties to the organizations and Lots of ties to the community.

#1 might be the hardest to find. Young successful coordinators in high school don't generally leave jobs like the NFL and college. They are harder to pry away. I do agree with the rest of your list

I just wonder if the many failed retred hirings, will lead them to look at younger up and coming coaches. Someone who can grow with the program and players. Seems like following the same formula over and over hasn't resulted in success. Definition of insanity comes to mind.

Their only 4 years removed (minus Covid 2020) away from back to back 3rd round playoff runs. I would say they have been better then decent lol

I agree the right hire is paramount. It has to be someone the kids buy into and trust. Seems the talent pipeline is there. They have talent on the High School level. Just need the guy at the top to make it happen. Getting the community support, feeder team support, school/faculty support and parent support have always been the missing piece at Scott. Find someone to do that and it could be a winner!!

Hearing from Taylor Mill this job is coming open after an Official Announcement. Interesting given Coach Franklin has only been there 2 years.

For once I don't see alot of movement in NKY. Conner and Holmes being interim positions, NCC (for the reason above) maybe the only changes. That's a big change from past years, where you would see 5 or 6.

I would hope the off-season is spent finding ways to maximize their great potential on defense. Obviously what they did this year hasn't worked. Losing Trey Cook and the rest of the senior class will hurt the offense, but they have nice pieces coming back.

They definitely need to figure out the defensive side of the ball to have any chance. The offense is scoring, they just aren't getting much help. Special Teams seems to be a big issue as well. Not sure they can kick farther then 15 or 20 yards. Tough year for the Eagles.

Still thinking Rash and lack of Scott defense is the story of this one. Trey Cook is a really good high school QB. Unfortunately he is trying to overcome too many deficiencies to win any games.

I think Scott struggling weekly to stop anyone's offense, will be the story of this one. Conner 42-7 and off to the playoffs.

I guess the "little guy" comment is a matter of perspective lol I agree Scott's pass defense seems shaky.

I believe Johnny Boyd and possibly another one. Maybe a linemen?

Scott's defense will have to find a way to slow down Dixie's QB in this one. After seeing the stats from last week's game. They gave up alot through the air. I see Dixie winning 42-21.

Great win for the Eagles!! Defense struggled, but got bailed out by the offense. BC had a hard time slowing down Trey Cook and Justin Hardy. Seems the Eagles got their Special Teams problems from Campbell County figured out. Should be a good game with Clay County next week.

Is there any word on how the Davis kid is doing? Heard he got hurt early.

Sounds like the special teams and short fields were the problem for Scott. Thought the defense played ok. On the flip side, Campbell had some weapons that can score. Bertram and Earl can make things happen!

That is the age old problem with alot of the middle of the road and lower programs. They lose the best to the best. I think it (as it always does) that it will take a class or two of winning games to correct itself. Funny how winning will do that!

When they have had consistency at the HC spot. They have had some good years. I think Dave Campbell was the first. Then Woolley had a decent run. Think the school and kids just need that consistent message.

Anthrop and Bertram are an exciting combo. Interested to see how far they can carry Campbell this year. Are there any other players that will shine for Campbell this year?

Will be tough sledding for Scott in this one. Campbell County returns most of their Offense and will put up plenty of points. I see something like 49-7. Based on scrimmages and recent history.
