I will be attending this game tonight and I feel like it will be a very good game. We have already had two upsets in the 6th region 1st round district games as Western knocked off DeSales and Fern Creek knocked off Bullitt East. Could this be a third upset? It is tournament time and it is time to see if St. X can complete the Gauntlet. They have not lost to a team in Kentucky, they won the King of the Bluegrass, they won the LIT now it is time to see if they can win the region go to Rupp Arena and win the state championship becoming the first team since the 90's to do so when Fairdale achieved the very tough task of winning all the. Freshman Josh Lindsey is injured for the Tigers and looks to be done for the season and that is a big blow to them as he is a very nice piece to their team but they are very deep and I still believe they can get this done. I honestly feel that St. X and Great Crossing are on a collision course to meet in the State Championship which would be an epic matchup. I still feel this is the most balanced region in the state with 7 teams that could essentially win the region. Butler is the favorite as they have not lost a region game all year but my top 7 are all capable of getting hot and winning the region. We head into the last week of the season and St. X is still undefeated against Kentucky teams but I am telling you right now this region will not be easy. I saw Male play Male play Green County this week and man are they tough with Cole Edelen back as he is rested and better than ever. Ballard, Trinity and Manual are also playing well and are very dangerous. Any of those 5 can win this region and draw will be very big. Well we are down to our last week of the regular season and getting so close to district, region and state tournament play. Butler just keeps rolling along and has stamped themselves as the deserving favorite in this region however I still feel it is very deep and could really have 7 or 8 teams make a run. I am very high on this PRP team who I really see winning this region even though Butler has now beat them twice. Let's get to the rankings. 1.
