Jtown will win easy, Manual will win by 10 or so, Jeffersonville will win but be closer than you may think, Providence and Christian Academy of Indiana win in blowout fashion.

Tomorrow across the river from Louisville in Jeffersonville there is a 5 game basketball event with each game having a team from Kentucky play a team from Indiana. I plan on going to the last three games and covering them on here with live updates. This week saw teams traveling all over the country and as far as California as St. X traveled to the San Diego area and played some of your top teams and showed they are actually human suffering their first loss of the year. let's get to the rankings and review. Team Rankings 1. St. X (11-1) - The Tigers traveled to California and got two impressive wins while they were there. They did also suffer their first loss of the season. Daviess County W 73-56 Warren Central L 45-58 3. Ballard (7-4) - The Bruins had a 1 and 1 week. Grace Christian (GA) W 95-51 Marshall County L 75-84 4. Manual (11-2) - The Crimsons had a nice showing in the Lexington Catholic Tournament reaching the 3rd place game. Newport W 54-53 North Laurel W 56-52 Bryan Station L 50 -62 5. This week saw lots of teams traveling all over the state as well as out of state in holiday tournaments. let's take a look at the rankings and results. The top 4 teams in this region went 11 and 0 this week winning 3 tournaments and the other is in the Finals today. Team Rankings 1. Jeffersontown (8-2) - The Chargers just keep rolling and showing their dominance. They went to Whitley County this week and won the BSN Borderline Classic. Paducah Tilghman W 80-46 Archbishop Mcnicholas (OH) W 62-56 Todd County Central W 73-23 2. Butler (9-1) - The Bears are off to a amazing start early in the season. They went to Henry County and won the Henry County Invitational. Collins W 52-40 Henry County W 83-52 DeSales W 75-55 3. PRP (9-2) - The Panthers are playing some great basketball. They went to East Jessamine and won the State Farm Holiday Tournament. Wayne County W 85-58 Lafayette W 77-50 Tates Creek W 78-64 4. Fairdale (8-4) - The Bulldogs made a nice trip to Daytona Beach Florida and showed what Kentucky Basketball is all about. They have reached the finals of that tournament which is played today. This was a very busy week of basketball with all the Holiday tournaments and one team in the 7th region made a dominant statement and that is the St. X tigers. They are not only the best team in this region but proved they are the best team in Kentucky with their win over Great Crossing and dominant performance winning the King of the Bluegrass. What once looked to be a top 3 heavy region doesn't look quite that way anymore and it is St. X's to lose simple as that. They head to San Diego California this week for a big tournament and I am very interested to see how they fair out there versus some prep schools and stiff competition. Let's get to the rankings. Team Rankings 1. St. X (9-0) - What a week for the Tigers. A 5 and 0 week that started with beating Great Crossing and ending with a dominating performance winning the King of the Bluegrass. Male (7-3) - The Bulldogs are trying to learn to play without their best player in Cole Edelen which is a very tough task but doing this will only make them better and when he comes back this team will be very dangerous. Ballard (6-3) - The Bruins had a huge week going 2 and 1 with big wins over Manual and Covington Catholic. I think it is fair to say that Ballard is back. Lots of Action took place this week as teams played in various Holiday tournaments. I first thought at the beginning of the season that this region was wide open and about 8 to 9 teams deep that could win it. I know have changed on that opinion and I believe Jeffersontown is quite a bit better than the rest and is a pretty big favorite to come out of this region barring any issues or injuries. Let's get to the rankings. Team Rankings 1. Jeffersontown (5-2) - The Chargers have won 5 in a row and have it going since they have Dayvone Harrison back who missed the 2 games they lost. They had a 2 and 0 week. WEB Dubois W 85-54 Spencer County W 74-54 2. Butler (6-1) - The Bears had a 2 and 0 week and are playing very good basketball so far to this point. They are the surprise team in the region so far to me as they are much better than I expected them to be. Bullitt East W 69-60 Eastern W 66-56 3. PRP (6-2) - The Panthers had a 3 and 1 week and are off to a very good start on the season. Valley W 76-34 Waggener W 65-48 WEB Dubois W 68-64 Manual L 52-57 4. Fairdale (6-3) - The Bulldogs competed in the King of the Bluegrass going 1 and 2. This team is very young and at times looks great and other times not so much. As the season goes along they will get better as they get more experienced and used to playing together. Butler County W 87-72 Frederick Douglass L 45-77 Woodford County L 61-74 5. Moore (5-3) - The Mustangs are finding their groove and had a 2 and 0 week. They own wins over both Fairdale and Fern Creek and only losses are to St. X, Butler and Manual three very good teams. Evangel Christian W 59-56 Fern Creek W 86-79 6. Bullitt East (6-3) - Bullitt East went 2 and 2 this week and have been very competitive this year. Evangel Christian (3-5) - Evangel went 1 and 3 this week and the defending region champs are struggling this season but as the year goes on I could see them improving. They are off to a 5 and 1 start but has not played a very tough schedule. Southern W 63-35 Bullitt Central W 66-63 10. DeSales (3-7) - The Colts were 2 and 2 this week and still trying to find their way with a new coach and losing their entire team pretty much from last year. Fairdale in the 90's won the King of the Bluegrass, LIT and state Championship all three twice. No one has done it since. I believe this St. X team will do that. They are on another level.

Make that 43 to 16. The Tigers are doing this to a very good Bryant team that beat Bryan Station by 10 and North Oldham by 24. I'm speechless to be honest.
