Jayden Johnson leads the Shamrocks with 11, all coming in the 2Q. He's 3/9 overall and 3/7 from 3. He went 3/6 & 3/5 in the second. Malachi Coleman leads the Crimsons with 5. Trinity has completely took Manual out of their game and have dominated on both sides of the ball.

Manual had a shot clock violation towards the end of second quarter. The first time that has happened in the history of high school basketball in Kentucky. In my 40 years following high school basketball in this state as either a son of dad who was a coach and had me in gyms as a little kid in gyms learning from coaches like Donnie Salyer, Joe Rogers, Scotty Davenport, to playing basketball, to coaching basketball and being on staffs or learning from coaches like Kevin Klein, Daniel Reed, Richard Gatewood, Scott Tandy, Charlie Haydon RIP ?, Jeff Morrow during state championship run, Steve Sargeant, Elmer Bennett, Jerry Eaves at NC A&T, and Stanley Jackson. To now doing media coverage I'd thought I'd seen it all. But nope.

Halftime Trinity 33 Manual 16. So you have to wonder if this margin has to do with Trinity being allowed to practice while school is closed so christmas break, snow week and Manual not being able too. Private/Catholic schools have such advantage on things like that. Manual looks rusty like they haven't been able to practice while Trinity has gotten better since Christmas ?

This one is getting ugly quick Trinity defense is top notch. They have been super impressive in first half. They play like this they can win this tournament. Amazing turn around for Coach Saxton and the Rocks with how they looked in the LIT. Rocks lead 33 to 16 with 27.9 seconds to go in half.

5:14 to go in half Trinity leads 17 to 11. This is not the Trinity that is 6 and 8 and lost 6 in a row. They have been hurt and had some personal issues etc but this team now if all heads stay on straight and they stay out of all the outside noise etc they will be a regional contender.

So weird to me seeing this 35 second clock for the LIT. They experimenting with it over next 4 days for LIT then next week going back to not using it. I don't know how I feel about it honestly I just am old school and I've always known high school for not having it and being different so I'm not a fan of it. Thoughts? Opinions?

Tonight at Valley 6pm Manual (13-3) - Trinity (5-8) RPI .67141 - RPI .51179 I will be covering this game and most if not all the games for the rest of the LIT and giving lots of updates. 8 games tonight! What are the games everyone is most looking forward too? For me it is Butler vs. Prp, Fairdale vs. Moore, Male vs. Atherton, and Jeffersontown versus Eastern.

So I'm at KCD where I watched the Quarter Final first game where Brown beat Francis Parker at the buzzer. But now they have a girls game being played and the Boys game between Louisville Collegiate and Whitefield Academy is at Whitefield which is 30 minutes across town so I will not make it and provide updates on this one. Francis Parker will need a big quarter from senior Quentin Johnson if they look to come back. He averages 21.2 ppg. He has got 5 quick points here to start the quarter Brown still leads 43 to 37 with 6:24 to go in game.

Brown scored 26 points that quarter after only getting 5 in the first quarter.
