  1. Played very well. Don't know the stats, but he was active.
  2. Cooper played basically even with them in the first half. I didn't see any Anderson guys playing both ways and I saw Cooper playing (#2,5,6,11,12,31,60,70,77,76) on both sides at times tonight. Makes a huge difference in the early part of the season in the 2nd half. Anderson is ranked #3 in Ohio regardless of division for a reason. Cooper is gonna take some lumps early, but they're gonna be battle tested for the playoffs.
  3. In addition to 5 or 6 Jags playing both sides.
  4. Cooper ran exactly zero plays of true man coverage last year.
  5. Both teams coming off state runner up seasons will look to start fast. Anderson coming in ranked 3rd in the state of OH regardless of division with multiple Division 1 recruits on the roster. Cooper coming in with a solid returning squad and poised to make another deep run in the KHSAA playoffs come November. Anderson will have a new QB behind center this year while Cooper has senior Cam O'Hara. This one will likely come down to which offense can establish their run game and which defense can stop the run. This early in the year, the heat will be a factor as well. Which team has more two way players? At the end of the day, this is game one of the 2025 football season. There will be mistakes made by both teams. The team able to limit mistakes and capitalize on the other team's will be the victor. Good luck to both teams and hope for an injury free game.
  6. Cooper's turn on offense. Play 1, playaction pass complete for 12. Play 2 pass incomplete. Play 3 outside run for 10. Play 4 pass, blown dead, sack. Play 5 run, loss of 3. Play 6 run, gain of 3. Play 7 run, loss of 1. Play 8 run, loss of 1. Play 9 pass, complete for 11. Play 10 pass, incomplete. Time for JV.
  7. 2nd half starts in what looks to be 10 plays for each offense and defense. Varsity. CAL comes out running the ball. 2 yards on play 1. 10 on play 2. Not marching. Play 3 is a qb sack. 8. Cooper is without a 2 way stud tonight due to injury. CAL and Cooper both had a player go down with apparent knee injuries in the first half. CAL player is reportedly a sprain. Cooper player was on crutches. Hate to see injuries anytime, injuries in scrimmages are even more frustrating.
