Cancelled Bowling Green because it was a Covid hot spot, then they had four kids on the team who couldn't play last week because of Covid. Then picks up Leslie in the slot for Bowling Green. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
-
Corbin said it was a hotspot for Covid and didn’t wanna take the risk.

Joe, stealing all of Rudy's glory. I'm sure Notre Dame guys during that time roll their eyes at that movie.
That's how I feel watching 23 blast..

That stinks. I understand, but man that just stinks. If it was me I’d show some clips from Rudy just to show that just because you don’t dress doesn’t mean your roll is less important.
Joe Montana basically ruined the Rudy story this week.
“was there a lot of things that happened? Yeah he got in, he got a sack. Was the crowd chanting? No. Did I throw my jersey? No. Did he get carried off the field? He got carried by three of the biggest pranksters on the team.”

Shoutout to the KHSAA fighting for a season. Hats off to them. Unfortunately IMO football gets “postponed” again tomorrow.

Absolutely. They gain nothing from playing a 4 or 5A team, and most 6A teams.
Think FD would give them more of a game this season? Brought in a QB with a cannon to pair with 3 high level D1 WRs.

North Hardin and Belfry is a big time matchup. Shoutout to them for making it happen.
-
My prediction is 6-3. Losses to Bowling Green, Somerset, and Wayne County.
-
You can get other kids involved. Running water. Running balls. Running endzone cam and filming. Let them wear their jerseys in stands.

Offered today by Maryland.

I can assure you Belfry is not taking any talent away from Paintsville haha.
Did you mean Johnson Central?
That is a heck of a commute if they were trying to go all the way to Belfry every morning for school.
The insinuation was more so Paintsville isn’t getting the talent around them they had been getting and those two are schools that are getting more kids. I get what you’re saying. Lol. Paintsville had been getting a lot of Prestonsburg kids but I think it’s dried out over there.
-
I’ve heard Chirico’s name float around. Paintsville should be really good this year, but after that they’re going to be down in years to come. Not very good numbers in the middle school level and Pikeville and Belfry raking in all the talent around them. Hazard may be intriguing, especially if they offer more $$$

But they are vague. One would think basketball and volleyball would be able to do small group skills work with a ball. Superintendents were told last Tuesday no gymnasiums could be used. So basically they could only be outside and do conditioning.
Football is the same way. If you have a group of 10 and each one uses a separate ball you’d think no problems right? QB’s and WR’s can’t work on timing or catching. Basically just footwork and conditioning.

They have sport specific rules broke down on their website.

Start in the right direction.

Per Les Dixon on Facebook. Les is a writer for the Times Tribune that covers the tri county in corbin. He has been keeping up with numbers a lot during this time.
“• Today’s overall average (8,286 cases divided by 166240 tests) now stands at an AWESOME 0.0498436000. We are now under 0.05.
• The first day I actually did averages (April 23) the state’s average was 0.0840031000. Look how far it has DROPPED.
• Today we had 135 new cases and 7,568 tests turned in and LOOK at today’s average. It’s the LOWEST I’ve seen in the month I’ve been doing this — 0.017883827. That number is amazing!
• We have now had 3,008 recovered, and only 92 people in ICU.”
-
We’ve done our part. The curve is flattened. The hospitals have room. Flatten the curve has turned into wait for a vaccine. Let’s back to our normal. We don’t need a new normal.
-
Teams would still benefit from being able to install their playbooks, lift together, go over concepts, condition, work on timing, etc. Otherwise you’re looking at doing most of that in a shortened window in a shortened season.

“ What we can’t do is lose football and basketball, not without other drastic action,” he said.”
That line made me hopeful.
