Is Starks playing for Mayfield?

We all know you cannot take much from scrimmages but this one was surprising.
The final score after two quarters of varsity play was 19-7 Hopkinsville which included a Hopkinsville defensive touchdown and a short field because of an errant punt snap by SW that led to another Hopkinsville TD.
South Warren QB is really good and they are physical up front but Hopkinsville held their own despite being undersized.
South Warren will play North Hardin in the season opener while Hopkinsville will tackle Greenwood.

Seems like JCPS loves to cancel athletics when things are messed up in the school system.
No wonder many of these kids go the private school route.

PT with over 80 players in uniform in this scrimmage. It's been a long time since I've seen that many on a Tilghman sideline.
Didn’t they have that many last year?

You wouldn’t think of Macon Co. TN. Being that strong but it is 7 on 7.
They have traditionally done very well at the 7v7’s they participate in between KY & TN.

How did South Warren look?
Really good. Their pool play losses were to Macon County TN & a forfeit to Gibson Southern.
They beat Nashville Pearl Cohn in pool play in the morning. Entering the tournament they would have been the #3 seed.

Is StoneBreaker getting cloned? Thought he was going to Somerset? Is Adair a step up from Casey? It’s not my neck of the Woods.
He is going to coach everywhere. Going to be a busy off-season for coach.

So far 2 blowouts and 2 classics. Two blowouts in championship games is too many.
Those things happen everywhere lol. Some teams are just that much better in a certain year.

I would assume this would have to be the first time ever two teams from the same district have met in the state finals. I can't think of a single time the playoff system would have been set up to allow it previously.
Good thing they took intra-district the first two rounds out right?

Would like to see Ballard win but I think that Male will squeak this one out. When is the last time a team beat Male twice in a season not named X or Trinity?

Ok, you sent me down the rabbit hole since I was pretty sure that I was right about this one... and before I go further, I now only kinda think I'm right...
Here is the KHSAA Bylaw you referenced... I have highlighted what I believe is the critical point...
(5) When a participant is ejected from a scrimmage or contest, the participant is to leave the vicinity of the playing area and remove himself/herself completely from the area of the playing facility unless the specific playing rules of the sport call for a different penalty option or the student would be placed in a position of not being supervised. In those cases, the administration of the player’s team is responsible for ensuring that the student participates in no other unsportsmanlike activity or the school itself may face additional penalty under Bylaw 27;
KHSAA uses the NFHS Football Handbook for rules, which I have linked HERE. Here is the best I can find which leads me to believe that I may ne right about this as that it just specifies adults in the wording:
A disqualified member of the coaching staff shall be removed from the stadium area and be prohibited from any further contact, with his team, direct or indirect, during the remainder of the game. For failure to comply, the referee may forfeit the game.
Let’s say it’s 50/50 and we are both right & both wrong haha.

Not in HS in KY.
Additionally, those on here blaming coaches and team culture for a rogue action is just silly. 15-18 year old kids make some really poor decisions at times… no matter how they have been raised, coached, or instructed. See a few of the Corbin players in the Finals against Louisville Central just a few years ago. It would be different if the whole East team ran on to the field, but that was not at all the case here.
Might wanna double check that on the KHSAA page. Says in section 5 on the return of disqualified players that the ejected player must be escorted from the playing site upon initial ejection.
I’ve seen referees stop games until ejected player is removed from sidelines.

Going to be tough going into Boyle & leaving with a win at any time, but especially in the playoffs. I don’t see it happening here
Boyle-35
Central-13.
-
Any ejected player is supposed to be taken off the playing field & into the locker room immediately after the ejection. #57 shouldn’t have been out there.

4A looks like
Franklin County at Corbin
Louisville Central at Boyle.
