Gimme Greenwood in this one. 28-20.

One of my favorite matchups in the Western Kentucky area this week.
Huge implications as the winner of this game will secure the #2 seed while the loser will be hitting the road as the #3 seed.
How healthy is Parsley will be the question in this game. He is a game-changer on both sides of the ball. If he is limited it will affect Warren East tremendously.
Logan County is a tough place to play at and they are coming in after a closer than expected 28-27 win over Hopkinsville last Friday. Davin Yates is their go to player. He is another valuable 2-way player and limiting him will be key for Warren East.

Thoughts on this one? Winner is the #4 seed in district 1 and a trip to Bardstown in the first round of the playoffs awaits for whoever gets the win. Although I believe that either team could make for a competitive 4 vs 1 round 1 game.
Allen County is always ultra-competitive and Hopkinsville is playing alot better than their 1-7 record.

Tigers are Class 4A District 2 champions. Will host 4-seed from District 1 in first round.
Will host the winner of the Allen County/Hopkinsville game next week in round 1

After seeing both these teams, I felt like Logan could really impose their will in this one. Credit to Hopkinsville, after a horrific start, they seem to have at least settled in over the last several weeks and have improved greatly.
Hoptown played without their starting QB for a 3 week stretch there. Getting him back really helped them. Tonight was a great game. Tough to see a team lose on a missed extra point.

Down 21-20, Logan scores with 6:51 to go in the 4th on a 4th & 24 TD pass & gets the 2pt conversion to go up 28-21.
Tigers drive down & score but miss the EP. Locks up at least the 3 seed for Logan.
Hopkinsville plays a do or die playoff game next Friday when they host Allen County.

This is the toughest game standing in the way of PT and a 10-0 regular season. Logan plays so hard and are extremely well coached.
PT just has dudes on top of dudes.
PT-49
Logan-14.

I like Glasgow in this one as well. Scotties are quietly going about their business and with this one they can look forward to a district title game matchup with Hart County.

Caldwell has hit a rough patch which happens to most schools here in Western Kentucky not named Mayfield. The Big Red Machine continues to roll. 49-7 Mayfield.

East 28
ACS 14
East has the best player on the field in Parsley. I was always taught that when games are toss ups you always take the team who has the best player on the field. And that’s East.

Coach Haskins also led Heath to the state title game in 1975. He had success wherever he went. I had him as a teacher also for one year, I loved being around him. He had story after story to tell.
When Kentucky was 4 classes only it was a chore to win a state title.

Jack Haskins from PT/Lone Oak days
Craig Clayton Hopkinsville
Did Big Joe Prince ever get 1? I want to say he didn't but I can’t say for sure.

Allen County will be competitive for a little while but PT will hit the gas and roll in this one.
49-14 PT

Going with Graves in this one. Madisonville has played absolutely no one other than Union county, in which they lost.
Graves has played a tough schedule and it will benefit them here in this game.

Definitely is one of the worst Hopkinsville teams in their long history. The schedule also did them zero favors as they have played 4 top 10 ranked teams in their classes out of the first 5.
This week will be another clock runner early as PT has too much for Hopkinsville. They are staring at a 10-0 season and 3 rounds of home field in the playoffs.

Looking ahead for Hopkinsville after Tilghman puts a running clock on them next week, they'll have the opportunity to not finish the season with a goose egg. Tilghman will be the favorite to win 4A District 1 and I'd say Logan will be the 2 seed. However, I do believe the Tigers can compete with the likes of Warren East, Calloway County, Allen County Scottsville and possibly make the playoffs as the 3 seed even after the 0-5 start.
I agree. 4 of their first 5 teams they have played (GWood, Mayfield, Clarksville, PT) would hand a lot of teams 4 losses this year. The Christian County game could have went either way as the Tigers were winning late in the 4th and had a game winning FG blocked.

Colonels drive down the field and convert a 4th & 16 on the go ahead touchdown drive.
Hoptown drives down the field and gets into fg range but Christian County blocks the fg to win the game 22-20.

I think Mayfield is just as talented as PT, which is saying something. Let’s break it down position by position
QB- Push
James is talented from PT but Cartwright is as well. Turnovers out of this position will decide the game imo.
RB- Advantage Mayfield
Starks is a load. Mayfield is committed to running the ball. PT doesn’t run it a lot.
WR- Advantage PT
OL- Advantage PT
DL- Advantage Mayfield
Both teams have studs in Mayfield #55 & PT #76, but I think Mayfield has a little more umph in supporting cast.
LB- Mayfield
DB- PT but it’s close imo. Biggers is a lockdown corner and Dabney at safety is a good combo. Is Ragsdale playing for PT? If so it puts PT over the top with Carter.
I’m still going with Mayfield in this one. I’ll say 27-21.

This will be an interesting game. Neither team is super talented but Christian County has better playmakers and they are older but have lost 4 in a row in this series. They were also down 40-13 to FS in game 1 and scored two TD’s in the last 5 minutes.
Hoptown showed some really good qualities in their scrimmage vs South Warren but then played a really good Greenwood team and a great Mayfield team and didn’t show up at all. This is a young Hoptown team and should get better every game.
Neither team winning would surprise me in this one. A true toss up.

I have heard who they maybe coming to see but Mayfield has talent and Prime time may see him old self as Mayfields secondary has been dubbed Legion on Doom and with in that there has been an official (NO FLY ZONE) warning within that secondary just ask Graves and Hopkinsville....can't wait and it could be a battle of who actually has the best secondary vs wide receivers...
Not very good teams to choose to declare yourself the “No Fly Zone” after. Graves is a running team & Hopkinsville can’t throw it in the ocean.
If you shut down PT passing game then you can call yourself whatever you like.
Gimme Mayfield 31-24.

Greenwood- 35
Warren East-21.

Score will be whatever mayfield wants it to be. Kudos to Hopkinsville for coming out of the gate with back to back tough games though. It will make them better.
