Thanks @DragonFire!
Like many, many years before, I look for these 2 to play 2 more times.
It will be interesting to see how Central responds in about a week and a half. But the last game could go either way no matter who wins that second one!
But very good win for the Purples against a really talented team!
I say they play three more.

John Petett was head coach at Monroe County for 11-12 years, stepped down as former Monroe County Falcon and Kentucky Wildcat Billy Joe Murphy took over. Petett was Murphy assistant coach. Murphy has now stepped down and Petett is taking back over the reigns as the head coach of the Falcons.

Zion Harmon didn’t play in this one.
Assume not, his name wasn’t in the box score. He had nine in their previous loss to Roman Catholic out of Philadelphia, maybe nursing an injury from their previous game, that is pure speculation based on him only scoring nine and then not playing today.

Kevin Klein team will be a tough out in March.

In the third and final game at the City of Palms today the Marshalls picked up their first win of the tournament 55-50 over Sarasota Riverview.
The Marshalls were led in scoring by Tyler Powell with 20 points. Fellow senior Tyler Stokes had 18 while junior Jay Nimmo added 13.

Ballard is playing amazing right now, worthy of top spot especially if close off the KOB tonight. Can’t wait to watch tonight’s 3rd place game and championship game.
A team outside of top 20 who needs to get some serious consideration is Elizabethtown.

I’d like to see the regional winners seeded instead of random draw. Maybe that is what eventual goal is with RPI. With amount of games basketball has, the RPI will most likely be more accurate than football at end of regular season.
I dis-agree, the draw is great, hopefully they never go away from the draw for the regional tournament or the state tournament. If I had to pick one would rather see the RPI effect the regional tournament rather than the state.

To add to that, I think Boyle County is a much better job than South Warren but I don’t know that his situation would be significantly different at Boyle County than it is at South Warren. Only Brandon knows what it would take for him to leave.
I’ll also add that Boyle County needing an OC is a nice checkmark for Brandon to have in order to bring his OC, Matthew McCloud, with him.
Believe it is Andrew McCloud and Andrew is from Mercer County I believe.
-
Brandon is married, am not sure where his wife is from but I would say that has a lot to do with his decision to stay or go.
-
The only name that I’ve heard other than Brandon is Bill Mason.
They will not hire Bill Mason.

Wouldn't necessarily blame the KHSAA. The way I understand it is the KHSAA sends a score input link to coaches on the day of the game, if the score is wrong posted on the KHSAA scoreboard it is because the coach entered the score wrong.

Walker Horn.
Was he hurt first game or just not in the rotation?
-
Who is the transfer from Texas that played? Is that Walker Horn or a different transfer.
Reason I asked, I watched the game against Lexington Catholic on line live and didn't see that he checked into the game at any point. Did he just miss that game?
-
Good hire, his name didn't cross my mind initially but should have. Carlos is deserving of a head football or basketball job, glad to see him get the opportunity. Look for the Panthers under Quarles to get a lot of points off of their defense.

I didn’t know about the transfer at the time of the original post. Adding him with Carroll at Greenwood will be a dangerous duo. The 2-3 matchup in the 14th will be a battle of titans.
Marcus Grant II is the young mans name. I was able to see him play with Greenwood this summer, he is a strong kid about 6'2 or 6'3, has played on the Adidas Gauntlet series with Team Carroll out of Alabama. According to Max Preps Grant was the 4th ranked class of 2021 player in Alabama last year and 198th ranked player nationally.

To me it seems that the BG-Warren Central reign will continue. Glasgow is close behind those two with Logan County most likely being pretty good once again. Should be a fun year in he region with three teams I’d consider top 25 good. Thoughts?
I would agree three top 25 teams but the third being Greenwood and it Glasgow. Greenwood got a huge addition in junior transfer from Alabama, dad is assistant on the hill for Stansbury.

Heard last night that Russellville is now open immediately. Coach Booth resigned to take a principal position back home in Edmonson County, I googled the information and looks to be accurate as here is a link to the Edmonson County newspaper article.
Rex Booth Named Principal At Edmonson County 5/6 Center - THE EDMONSON VOICE
Who is next for the Panthers? Will Phil Todd come out of retirement and be interim for a year or will newly hired Fraliex at the middle school bump up to take the position.

I believe Fields was from Harrodsburg now that you mention it.
Dennis has an outstanding son in 8th grade, Jasper Johnson who currently goes to Southern Middle in Lexington. Would think he will be a Yellow Jacket sooner than later.
Elizabethtown 81 John Hardin 74

Elizabethtown played without one of the Sherard twins who is a starter and John Hardin has a 6’4 transfer who is from Hardin County but moved away in 7th grade that has now returned named Anthony Bowen. When Bowen becomes eligible he will add another division one player to their lineup.
These two teams will meet three more times this season.
