The defensive scheme is insane honestly. A 3-5 with a dramatically undersized team won't work against a good run attack...which has been proven the past two weeks now. Add to it that the CBs are taught to cushion 10 yards and you have a recipe for disaster. Unless the offense is putting up 40+ per game, this could be a long season. And it's not looking good. The passing game is weak at best....almost no downfield threat. 90% of throws over 25 yards weren't even close tonight. Last weeks completion percentage was due in large part to almost all passing being under 15 yards....many at the line or behind it.

Well said, Midway. Many in here weren't there and didn't see it with their own eyes. We would not have won, but the score would have been respectable if the calls would have been made and Cooper didn't get hurt. That hurt us bad. The sophomore that coughed up the Ball twice shouldn't have stepped foot back on the field. Your primary job as a RB is to protect the ball, the second is to gain positive yardage.

Last year I'm pretty sure it was damn close. The majority of the games the D gave up 50+. O believe the average was 42.

Pay attention. We have very few seniors that start this year. You honestly think that's not young? Sophomores starting? Come on man. An excuse? Nope. We got beat like a drum. A reason we got beat like a drum is more like it. That team is much, much better than we are.

Kid is fantastic no doubt. Biggest hit was from that tiny #2 corner from SC where he about broke Wogan in half. WHAT A SHOT! Are you referencing when we had given up and started working kids in, or was this still in the first half or early Q3?

I'll agree. Still playing a lot of juniors this year and even a few sophomores. This year isn't going to have us go anywhere....maybe 7 wins. Next year, however, I believe we have the possibility of making a nice run.

Their athleticism is ridiculous. Plenty of play makers and they moved the ball at will. I think they had only 1 fourth down all night. Many scores were quick....less than 5 plays. It was a blood bath, make no mistake about that.

The officiating post was due to the questions about the officiating posts in the live game updates. Would we have won if all penalties were called? No, probably not. It is worth noting it was the worst officiating I've seen in the past 5 years minimum.

One flag with less than 2 min left. SC isn't the cleanest team, and they got away with two PI calls, and at minimum 10-12 holding calls on their receivers...likely one or two PF penalties as well.

SC is way bigger than we are and a million times more physical. Defense couldn't stop them and our offense couldn't move the ball consistently. RB Cooper Schwalbach got hurt in the first half and his replacement fumbled twice (lost). Plus we threw an INT. Turning the ball over against a team like that won't win games. Add to all that the lack of penalty flags (1 all game) that led specifically to two scores for SC. Bottom line, they are far better than we are.

I have no idea. What I do know, is this team HITS. I mean HITS. The QB is very good and the athleticism from their specialists is very high. This is a damn good football team.

Yes

Not sure how many we would have had, but they have committed some really big penalties. The fact that our RB fumbled twice and we threw a pick sure didn't help us. Pretty sure SC hasn't punted once.
