Definitely not a part of there contracted duties... Scott parents and administration approached them and asked if they would take time out of their week and run the camp. It also take a lot of work to get everything planned and hire staff to help work it. Stapleton is the reason that Jarrod Polson is coming to be a guest speaker along with possibly Darius Miller and Chris Lofton. All of that falls through if him or Fro isn't hired.

I didn't say it was right... But Scott and Kenton County administration does not want to have to deal with this incident again in a year..

I was told Nicholas and Holmes decided to not renew his contract... If he was some great coach strings could/would've been pulled to make sure he was able to still teach there.

If you were in the position they would be in why would you run a camp. If I didn't get the job I expected to get I wouldn't waste my time. I wouldn't run the camp.

Brad was removed from his coaching position because a group of players and parents were unhappy with "his relationship with the players". They did this to avoid this issue from happening again.

Stapleton won East Coast National Championship with his AAU team where he had talent but not any kind of elite talent. As for Frommeyer he won the NKY freshman tournament in 2009 where he beat a loaded Holmes team that subsequently won the 9th Region and made a final 4 run 2 years later.

He has a track record of never staying anywhere long at all.... If he's so great, why is he looking for yet another job... What happened at Nicholas County, Holmes, and now Newport.. The kids already have a great relationship with Coach Fro and Coach Stapleton. Hell, Stapleton and Frommeyer without knowing if they would get the job or not, volunteered to run the Scott basketball camp... It's obvious both of those men dedicate everything they have to the Scott basketball program, I don't think Rinehardt will be half as dedicated to the program as the other 2 are... The returning players voted on the 3 coaches... Not one player voted Rinehardt. Stape and Fro have track records of winning championships, Rinehardt does not.

Did I ever say I disliked him? All I'm saying is that Basketball101's post was false and knowing that he knew nothing as to whether Reinhardt got the job yet or not, he still felt the urge to post... But he is the type of person that make the threads fun to read.

Once again. You all jump the gun with this. Not all interviews are finished... But the end is in sight....

This is a long stretch, but let's say Chris Stapleton gets the Scott job. Him being from Maysville and having connections with Garrison, I honestly could see him moving from one tenth region team to the other....

I believe the decision comes down to these 2 and the one that isn't hired stays on staff as the "right hand man", as long as they haven't found a HC job somewhere else...

Hiring Reinhardt will be the biggest mistake Scott can make at this point. Scott wants someone who will stay for the long run, Reinhardt has a track record for not staying anywhere for very long at all... Stapelton and Frommeyer know the responsibilities that come with the job and will be there for a VERY long time.

Hearing that Rinehart (sp) has gotten a second interview. If he becomes the choice, the Scott basketball program will crumble. There will be a lot of unhappy parents and players. The Scott HS administration proves once again that they are absolutely clueless when it comes to just about everything. I'm going to leave it at this. If Rinehart gets the job then there will be a LOT of moves made....

Stapleton. They finished 13-4, and only lost to one 10th region team the whole year. Beat Scott Co at Scott Co as well.

Who are the final candidates?

We received many phone calls and emails from him in regard to the job, he never did apply... But I can assure you whether he applied or not that Shannon Minor will not be the next head coach at Scott HS.

You think you at some important figure up at Scott HS, guess what, you aren't... You have zero insight on who applied or what is even going on... I've seen the list of who applied, who was in consideration, and the select few applicants who the comitee chose to interview...

He did inquire about the job as did many other coaches. He decided against applying.

He never even applied for the job and interviews will start this week.
