  1. Illinois Bears....should easily be a top 5 candidate for Mr. Basketball. He is that good. Plays for Murray High
  2. After 8 games, the kid is averaging 31 and 11. The unsigned 2017 SG is the best scorer in the state. Throughout the summer and the first 8 games, he has torched almost every top rated player in the state. They say he is a one trick pony....shooter....REALLY? Uhhh....he also leads the state in rebounding. And if there is any player who gets to the cup any better Preston then I have not seen him. Colleges are missing bad on hIm.
  3. Mason County should watch the Taylor County vs Murray High game to see how to defend Sloan and Goodin. Saw that game in Bowling Green. They shut down both guards completely and they have no player who can defend like Pig Williams. Think they had 10 and 11 points and about 10 turnovers. Don't think this game will be easy...it won't!
  4. Uhh...Williams dominated the game against Taylor County. His supporting cast no where near as good as Taylor County. Taylor County has the most talented team in the state. The game was not even close. Owen County won with a dominating performance by Williams. He dominates every game he plays. Could have gone to a power conference if he wished. The kid has a Kenneth Fareid motor and great skills. Goodin is the most athletic player but certainly not a better basketball player than Williams. Ask any player from a high school team that has played both teams who is the best basketball player and you might be very surprised at the answer. Nothing against Goodin. He is really good. But, so is Williams. The vote will be very, very close.
  5. Agree 100%. Williams is really, really good. NKU got instantly better. Absolutely, the most dominate player in Ky. But, I will turn the question back to you. Put Goodin on Owen County and Williams on Taylor County and what happens. My opinion, Taylor County led by Williams becomes a great team and wins a state championship and maybe loses one or two games all year. He is that good and makes all around him that much better.
  6. I would not bet against Taylor County winning the state tournament. They are by far the most talented team in the state. Who else has 2 top 100 kids in the nation. And their role players are really good. Can they be great? Only time will tell.
  7. I am not saying he should win it by any means. Just saying the kids a winner. More college ready than anyone except the top 3....Williams, Goodin, Faulkner. And winning is important. That is why Carson should win it. He carried his team and made those around him better. Goodin's team lost to too many average teams. Both are great players though.
  8. Carson Williams should win it and is highly deserving. A name no one will mention because his stats don't wow you is James Boone from Murray High. He plays on a team that has 4 players averaging double digits. They were Class-A runners up in the state tournament and are headed to Rupp. Seen him play several times now and can tell you he might have as good a college career as any of these guys. Headed to Samford and will be a good one. His team beat both Carson Williams team and Quentin Goodin's team this season. Kid is a winner. Coach told me they set the all time record for wins at Murray High. There are not 5 players in this state better than Boone.
