Wheatley is a good back and will be fun to watch grow but as many said and I said Danvilles swarming d was more than LCA was ready for. Also I give Steven Ray credit for carrying the load in a game where the passing game couldn't get on track.

Not sure but seems like they could get other kids the ball. Would probably help offense out.

Just went back and watched highlights of Danville Boyle game and some maybe not all of Boyles starters were in game on Danvilles final TD with three minutes to go. But beyond that I think Boyle has a very stout defense but I worry about saying they are the best because athletic receivers give them fits and can get behind them. Once they give up the long pass their run defense seems to get softer. Hopefully they can find a solution to this before they play Central or Catholic again.

Think that may be what we do!

As I said I would possibly agree if LCA would have played anyone. We will see Friday that the old tale of "good defense beats a good offense"

I think this would be a good measuring stick if they both played good competition but as I posted earlier LCA beat up on some bad 1a teams while Danville was playing better competition in 3a.

But back to this game, what makes you think that LCA will beat Danville. By the way Danville plays quite s few freshmen and sophomores and to note just because a team has slot of upperclassmen doesn't mean there aren't good players behind them.

As you can see the top three on the list Danville played while LCA played teams toward the bottom. So to say Danville hasn't played anyone this would show that LCA is that one who hasn't played anyone. Also to be stated the ratings of the Walton-Verona and Fairview games of which LCA lost. Just saying that I expect this to be a good game but Danville should win. I think that their defense has seen enough good backs that Wheatley will not scare them and I think that they will do a good job against him. Also saying that the pass defense is suspect, I would agree but if you watched the Somerset game you would have seen the adjustment that was made for that.

And who has LCA played?

Danville swarms which means the five hitting one wears down the one faster than the five. Simple football.

I guess 12 carries for 47 yards against a green county team that Danville stomped is lighting it up!

Ask anyone who has seen Danville this is a totally different defense.

Just going off what I have seen. Wheatley may get his although Swanner from Boyle didn't get 100 on a defense which has improved. My point is I think Danville is better team and will win. Just not sure how good LCA is their two losses come against an untangled 2A team and #6 in 1A. Danvilles only loss is against a top 5 3a. I also remember Dampier having his best game as an Admiral against LCA throwing for 450 yards last year so could be a long night for LCA defense.

Didn't play against LCA either and you guys gave up 34.

Somerset brought a balanced attack what did that do for them?

Somerset is more of spread team than Boyle. Boyle exposed one weakness which has in my opinion been fixed. After watching highlights of Wheatley I think that he is not best back they have faced. LCA's line may be better than teams Danville has played but he isn't as good as a few of backs they have faced. I thought from reading post on here that he was a bruiser but the highlights I have seen don't justify it. I think Danville wins... Not sure but I think 31-14
