1. I am speaking partly in general when I post this and partly using Hagen's situation.

By definition you are D1 if you have legit D1 offers. It's not a debate.

The debate, though, is fair when you have a small number of D1 offers at the level that NKU and , say, Samford are at this time. 300+ D1 schools passed on offering so that , by sheer logic, says that you are not a "definite" D1.

Maybe those of you have watched him a lot (I have not) know that the other 300 are wrong. You may be right. However, it's not fair to criticize those who question the D1 issue. They, too, may be right and have a lot of schools who apparently agree.

I would define him as definite D-1 since he walked away from NKU(D-1) and could possibly end up at another D-1 school. It's all a process.

  2. There weren't names named here, and besides, fact is fact. This is a tragedy, and the thread was brought up to highlight the tragedy. How is this any different than bringing up any of the police shootings, Trayvon Martin, or anything of the like?

It isn't any different at all but in an agenda driven society feigned dramatics take place when folks feel "appalled". Folks can say what they want but I bet we won't see 60K views on this thread.

  3. Story has gone national.

How could you watch a teammate get sucker punched. Be on the floor seemingly out and not defend him. Just disgusting.

UK players are asking the same question.

They should be asking those questions. I wouldn't want anyone on my team that would just watch me get sucker punched and not do anything.

  4. I agree that Bolden should be on the team. I also think Jeremiah Bell of Boyle County should be on the team. I feel like he proved to be the best point guard in the state and along with Hagen Tyler formed the best backcourt in the state. At the end of games if it was a tight ball game teams playing defense had to deal with Jeremiah having the ball in his hands and his ability to get into the paint whenever he wanted to. In fact, I bet if Jeremiah would have taken 25-30 less three pointers that he would have averaged over 25 points a game. I never saw one single team stop his penetration to the rim. His ability to penetrate and score or get fouled generated a ton of points for Boyle County this year. Jeremiah also hit game winning shots multiple times this year. CAL, LexCath at Rupp, Danville in the district tournament are his shining moments and they all came late in the season. I've heard it over and over and over again that without Jeremiah Bell then Boyle County wouldn't have gotten to where they go to. While some people mean it in a disrespectful manner when they say it there is some truth to that and IMO that makes him worthy of being on the BGP Team.

And I say this with all respect due to the people who have to make this list. There are no easy answers and someone, somewhere is always going to be upset about someone they feel is deserving. I appreciate the work the people here at BGP do. It's not easy at all.

  5. Im not throwing anything at Drew. Drew and others, made a few bad choices that night, is what it is at this point.

The Videos posted make this out to be a way minor deal than what it was initially when it happened.

The Bar altercation, was nothing more than a minor scrum that you can find any Friday/Saturday night in town.

The dorm incident was made out to be a fight, when it looks like it was just a one punch and over event. Drew drawing the short straw.

Again as I have said, going back to EKU after there was an altercation with EKU peeps at the bar was not a smart move on Drew and others part. Had they not went there, he doesnt (more than likely) get punched.

    Ahhh okay. Cool. :thumb:

  6. So your saying, after getting into an altercation with EKU peeps in a bar, going to an EKU dorm was a wise more?

Or are you saying that he had no idea who he got in an altercation with at the bar?

He got sucker punched. Knocked out cold, sucker punched. I'm not going to question all of his actions of the night for the sake of insulting him for getting sucker punched unlike yourself. I'm assuming you've never been in those kind of situations because you are such a stellar individual who never does any wrong. In all reality 9 times out of 10 people involved in everything he was around that night aren't thinking about anything with a clear head. I'm grateful I have always befriended like minded individuals who better have my back in situations like this and I'm grateful I never have had enemies on message boards that throw darts at my every move to make themselves feel better.

  7. I don't think the other 2 UK players could do anything they are out numbered 10 to 3.

Awesome teammates. Let me tell you.....

It's sad you make all of these posts about your kid this, your kid that, how Drew was in the wrong, how you'd teach your kid better but you take delight in watching Drew get sucker punched. I know I'm foolish for even responding to you but it just bothers me sometimes to see people blame one side for one thing but totally gloss over the other side when video shows who was really in the wrong.

  8.

Not picking on anyone on here, so please don't take it that way. But, I would be willing to bet that most of the "Legalize Drugs" crowd on this board do not have children. Just saying that being a parent really makes you view the world a little differently.

I have kids and I am in the legalize it crowd. Whether drugs are legal or not it is up to parents to educate and monitor our kids. The legality of drugs shouldn't change that. Alcohol is just as bad as a lot of the drugs that people abuse today.

  9. Ive seen some in shape 70 year olds. I'm sure there are some who can do the job.

My concern, like sportsguy is his training. I've never been a big fan of reserve deputies but in some small counties across the country I'd say they can't afford to hire and train a lot of deputies...so things like this is what happens.

This happened in Tulsa and there are over 130 reserve deputies on that force.
