I watched both games last night and seen nothing good coming from either game. It looks like a long road ahead of the basketball program at Ryle.
Of course with the exception of Rankin and the 6’8” sophomore.

What is their JV’s record?

Cooper way too high.
Explain your theory please
-
Who’s the favorites? I haven’t seen many of the jv teams play.
-
So where will the CCH v/s Cooper game be played at now?
-
I was at the game. It was a great battle but it was one of those games where I would love to see a video replay of it . As in another post on this thread, I question the officiating in the third quarter . There was a stretch of time in the 3rd where Boone's lead was diminished . During this time , there was tackles, chops, no calls and topped off with a play where Cooper's 35 plowed over a player and Boone's 35 ended up with a foul against him. I know no game is called perfect but in a perfect world Boone wins this game.
There were definitely calls blown both ways.
IMO Cooper showed that they r more battle tested than Boone cty and a little deeper than most thought

How many players will Cooper be missing tomorrow?

I guess there suppose to beat everyone by 30

So if a team plays Cooper close that means Cooper isn’t really that good??
-
I don’t think this thread was started to bash CCH. What is evident is that some, not all, CCH fans illustrated some “reasoning” for the loss to Cooper instead of just chalking it up to the other team was better and “it” happens. 2 years ago someone started a thread asking “Is CCH on the verge of becoming the greatest “Dynasty” of all time in the 9th Region? And then this preseason most of what was posted was this years team was so deep with 9-10 players that it was “inferred” that no one in NKY or many from the state could hang with them. Now, all that may pan out to be true as it is way too early to tell but when posters start those types of threads and make/infer those types outcomes, they have to be prepared for this type of thread to be started.
One thing is certain, games have to be played because other teams aren’t paying any attention to comments being placed on BGP and if they are they are using it as fuel. Just my opinion.
Nailed it!!!

I was just curious. I heard that from someone.
I’ve heard that also

Give me a break. They have played a killer schedule. Went to King of Bluegrass while in the middle of exams. Driving back in forth four straight days and having to play the two best defensive teams that press in state Ballard and Fern Creek getting home late. They did not have AJ and CJ was in foul trouble against Fern Creek. Relax they are fine. Cooper hasn’t played anyone they are fresh stayed in Louisville out of school since Tuesday. Not excuses but I know from the families the kids are dead tired.
Sorry but that sounds like all excuses. They were ranked 22 in the nation they shouldn’t have had any problems with any of these schools. Unless your saying these schools should be ranked higher than CCH in the nation.

What I’ve seen CJ comes of screens and shoots, AK is way more exsplosive way quicker gets to the rim and finishes better and can create his own shot.
-
I know this much a lot of Louisville people fell in love with AK’s game this week. Calling him Ky Mr basketball!!
-
It really depends which side of the tracks your on. If your from CCH it’s easy to say CJ is the man and if your a Cooper fan then it’s AK. I would love to hear from some other non bias hs basketball fans to get there take on it

Have them switch teams and Ruthsatz would have the ball all the time and Frederick would have the ball all the time for Cooper. Both are great players. Sullivan tailors the offense for Kunkle to get shots and make plays. CCH does not for Frederick from what I watched this year. Let the season play out and see. One game where CCH played four games and traveled and Cooper got great draw and blown out by trinity doesn’t tell us much Jan 12 will. I think it’s a draw. The key is McNeil vs Ruthsatz who do you like?
Trinity blows out anyone they play when they shoot 19-29 from the three.
-
I am not sure we can say which player's stats were better last night but it is obvious which team plays as a team:
FREDERICK - 29 points on 42% shooting
8 for 19 overall (the entire rest of the team took 23 shots combined)
2 for 9 beyond the arc (22%)
9 for 11 free throws
7 rebounds
2 turnovers
1 assist
32 minutes played
Team Loss
KUNKEL - 23 points on 73% shooting
8 for 11 (the rest of the team took 26 shots combined)
2 for 3 beyond the arc (66%)
5 for 7 free throws
5 rebounds
4 turnovers
1 assist
28:45 played
Team Win
Looks like Adam was more officiant for sure

IMO AK was the best player in the tournament that I watched in the last two days.
I agree if he keeps up that kinda play he’s gotta be a lock for mr. Basketball
-
Cooper v/s Covington Catholic should be it’s own thread
-
Hopefully the same arrogant coach walks by Coopers student section waving and pointing at his state championship ring this year in the semifinals at regionals. That made it even better when Cooper beat the brakes off CCH in the finals!!!
-
Checked out Prep Hoops today. Currently Michael is ranked 3rd in his class behind Powell of Trinity and Taylor of St. X. I agree with Muskie, Mayer is a nice player, but #3 is a stretch. No matter though, the combination of he, Fleek, Thelan, and Davin fighting for the 5th starter spot along with Lenihan, Nowak & others is a luxury if they are used. If not their talent is wasted.
Not a stretch at all imo. With his size, strength, motor, athletic ability, and his ability to knock down the mid range jump shot he has the most upside in the 2020 class in nky for sure
