Niece had 37
But they lost
-
Let’s say Newport wins there side. How much easier will it be for them to pull an upset in the championship after CCH and Cooper beat each other to death
-
And that’s completely fine. I’ve not seen CovCath but assume they’re as good as people say. I’ve seen Cooper twice and they’re outstanding as well but they’re also beatable. I don’t think the gap is nearly as big as Northern KY thinks. But that’s just me. Depth is Newport’s only knock. But I do believe they have a very legitimate shot at winning the 9th.
I’m a Cooper fan and if CCH happens to beat Cooper and indeed it’s a Newport CCH finals I’m in your corner. Go gettem!!!
-
Well for starters, Newport and CovCath didn’t play. Secondly Cooper beat Newport soundly. Newport didn’t exactly play all too well and anybody that watched it can tell you that. But I won’t change your mind so believe as you wish.
I really like Newport but I believe like most there is a huge gap from Cooper, CCH and the rest of the ninth region
-
You’re making too much sense. Nobody but a select few will listen. It’s “supposed” to be Cooper/CovCath.
What was the out come this season when CCH played Newport and Cooper played Newport??
-
Cooper and Cov Cath have ended up on the same side of the bracket. This should be interesting!
Well the championship will be garbage
-
Kunkle is way quicker and is a way better defender and rebounder!! Not even close between the two.
-
D Miller Elite is the new kid on the block
I don’t believe there doing high school this year.

Talking about strength of Schedule.
Madison Central >Scott
On the road against top 5 team 32 points. Once again C.J. Frederick player of the year!
Will the real Player of the year please stand up!
Cooper played Madison Central also.

In a nutshell...running a tournament is a pain in the butt, especially for a school with a single gym like everyone (I think everyone?) in the 9th region. Lots of team schedules to work with when organizing...both JV and varsity...plus the weather x-factor. Then you need to staff the even and organize officials for all the games.
Cov Cath already has their Kaelin Freshman Tournament going at that time of year, so they've got the event booked at their gym, plus the staff and the officials lined up...why not just add in some JV games and make use of the opportunity to squeeze in some more games?
Makes perfect since. Thank you

Good for us, this rivalry won't go away anytime soon. Can Setters step in for Kunkel? He looked athletic enough. CCH will be plenty big. Who takes all the shots next year?
Setters or Centers??
-
I was at the game. Fun game to watch, physical and intense. Cooper is well coached and skilled. CCH was simply more athletic and physical.
Next preseason, will anyone remember this CCH JV team being undefeated with wins over Moeller, other cincy powers, Lex Cath, Cooper twice, and others? I heard this group pushed the varsity all year in practice.
Cooper only once. Cooper was also undefeated going into that game. Why is the championship always at CCH??
-
You can say that again.
Sorry didn’t mean to double post.

Covington Catholic vs Cooper in the finals should be a good one.

Cooper beat St. Henry by 25.
-
My heart breaks for the kid he was definitely playing like the best player in the state before the nose surgery. Hopefully he starts putting those numbers up again starting tonight. He did a lot better in the Ryle game.
-
Newport has had been up and down at times this year and Cooper hasn't played great b-ball as of late IMO. It will be interesting to see who steps up and wants it more. Both teams can play, who will be the kid on the winning team that steps up and wins this game???
AK with big game tonight!!
-
I don’t think it matters who plays. Cooper by 15+
-
I take it you've never improved at a task the second time around?
It’s just my opinion the mask bothered him more than the D

I take it you never played basketball with a mask on.

Serious shade
So at K.O.B., why didn’t he affect him as much? He guarded him there also.
-
Only got to listen to the stream, but sounds like Nowak was giving AK fits
More the mask than Nowak. Adam struggled against Boone also and I’m pretty sure Nowak didn’t play for them on Friday night.

I was told either 8 and 6 or 8 and 7, looking at their schedule I would say they have played 14 games.
Wow that’s a lot most teams are still under 10 games.

Your right but that’s the first comment he made.
