The pipeline is just fine. Replacing a large varsity contingent from last years graduating class offers an opportunity that players at others schools may have found attractive. The JV team last year had a respectable winning record, something in the 4-3-7 range. Defense will be tough, offense will take some time to gel. My opinion is they will be taken lightly early in the season due to large number of juniors who didn't see much varsity time last season. First game on schedule after soccerama will give us an indication where we stand and where we need to be. Last years freshman class was very good.

No problem with pictures. I took them last year and plan on doing it again this year. Parents will be lined up along the middle of the field buy the penalty boxes were clear last year when our teams were playing.During the heat of the day the parents were all crammed under a few trees in the corners and I had almost the entire sideline to myself.

They would have to defend the high pick and roll in my scenario. I'm not sure wether Holmes has the right personnel to do what I am suggesting, but on the top of the key high screen one of the bigs has to defend high. This leaves one big to defend low. Assuming Bolden penetrates he either finishes or dishes to the corner that the help came from. I would put my second big above the free throw line. If NCC does not guard him and sags for help defense I drop him to the short corner. The key to this is what type of shot Holmes big have. If they can knock down the 15 foot jumper it might work.

If I am Holmes I open the post and make the bigs guard the perimeter. Making the bigs guard the perimeter gives them a chance to win the rebounding battle and stops NCC from running on them. After watching the first round of girls, if we get the same type of refs there are going to be a lot of fouls. I wouldn't be surprised if both Bolden and Pangallo create a lot of fouls with their penetration. So I think the team that makes the most free throws wins the game. I think NCC wins by 8.
