This is the last season some of these kids will play competitive sports EVER. So they should miss out on the opportunity of playing a lot of minutes because they are on a good team?

It was a VARSITY game right? So why shouldn't VARSITY players get majority of the minutes in This game? Girls that work hard all week I'm practice shouldn't be rewarded with playing time in there own game? These girls are on the team because they want to PLAY not sit and be spectators

Tubbs was in starting lineup tonight. Completely different team with her IMO. She's not a lock down defender but she is excellent in jumping the passing lanes. Holmes gets a lot more turnovers and fast break points when she plays

Ryles whole student section did every thing Coach Perkins did the entire game. For spectators if may or may not been funny but as a coach I would have been annoyed

What was strange was the Ryle students mocking Holmes coach. Got to the point where it was borderline disrespectful

It's kind of no different then the NCAA Tourny and the NIT. We know the winner of the NCAA is the Champion bust isn't the winner of the NIT still called National champions also?

2015 Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic Basketball Tournament Fact Sheet The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic is a statewide basketball tournament for the smallest 120 high schools within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This is based on student enrollment for grades 9 – 12 as verified through Kentucky Department of Education records on October 1st of each year. The winners from the 16 boys' regional tournaments along with the 16 girls' regional tournament champions will advance to the statewide tournament held in Frankfort from January 28 – February 1. The purpose of the basketball tournament is to allow smaller high schools in Kentucky an opportunity to compete in basketball on a more equal basis, to showcase the athletes from smaller schools who sometimes do not get the same recognition as athletes from the larger high schools, and to offer the people of Kentucky another opportunity to enjoy quality basketball. The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic is not only a basketball tournament, but also a full program for the smaller schools. In 2014-2015, the All “A” Classic will provide over 15,000 smaller school students with the opportunity to actively participate in a scholarship program, an art competition, statewide baseball, basketball, fast pitch softball, golf, soccer, and volleyball tournaments, along with a cheerleading competition. The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic strengthened its commitment to academics and education in 1996-97 by providing scholarship opportunities open to all students of Class “A” schools. In the first year of the scholarship program, twelve $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Class “A” seniors planning to attend any Kentucky institution of higher education. The number of scholarships increased to a total of $103,000 for 2013-2014. In addition, scholarships are awarded as part of the statewide art competition. The total amount of scholarships provided has exceeded $1,300,000.

Just did a little research on my own and now I absolutlly dont have a problem with the winner of this Tourny calling themselves state champions. They are the small school state champions.

With Tubbs in the line up Holmes by 15 without Holmes by less then 10. But I will also be cheering for Ryles Juliet McGregor to have a solid game.

I'm just courious when a school wins this Championship does the Banner say All A state Champions or just State Champions? Being new to the Kentucky basketball seen when I hear people talk about this I get confused. I was under the impression that this was a actual sanctioned championship. Either a great case of promotion or a bad case of misrepresentation.
