I believe so They had beaten Newport, Bracken, Tichenor and RA pretty easily... I think this makes a match up between Beechwood and a crazy athletic team like Tichenor or Newport more interesting though, but only if one of those teams got hot... I would also think they would stay up at the Frosh level same way that the Kid from Sharp did when he played up for Pendleton Cty.

Was last night and we are stil a month away and a lot could happen between now and then. However his was one of the bigger games in small league with post season implications.

Big games at Jones affecting Small division Tourney seeding tonight! 6th- Newport by 9 7th- RA Jones by 14 8th- Jones by 9 8th grade seeding should start to sort it's self out for small division now... Beechwood Jones Newport Bracken Tichenor

8th grade Question- Does anyone know how Newport or Tichenor had faired in Small district play. I realize that Newport lost there star player but would still think they'd be fairing okay..?

1 vs 10/8 4 vs 5 3 vs 6 2 vs 8/9 So two playin games. I think it worked really good for the tournaments last year.

Small league is the 10 teams seeded by conference wins.

RA @ Tichenor 6th - Tich 7th- Jones 8th- Jones Tichenor 8th grade is playing pretty good. Jones beat them back to back before and after break should begin to shore up the Small division playoff picture.

He played at R.A last year both 7th & 8th grade (small league you can mix and match) Very talented big. Helped win a championship last year. Watched him again when they beat R.A by 5 in Nov. Kid keeps growing that's for sure!

They have 2 really smooth shooters and a nice stretch 4. Solid team Jones beat them a few weeks back. How did the other "small division" teams fair in the Dayton tourney?

Last night RA jones vs Newport Newport 6th win RA Jones 7th win Newport 8th wins close game down to wire RAs 8th was missing 2/3 players that usually log major minutes

Any word on how Newport is now that they are without Jefferson?

Beechwood took home the 3peat at RA tonight. 6th,7th,8th 8th final was 53-24 Very good team very well coached. I'm surprised they didn't ask to play up in the big league this year. Favorite for Small league for sure but definitely at a different level then the small league teams competitively

Yes Lousiville 6-A is the SEC LExington & NKY are the BIG10 BIG12. Male will score faster than anyone they have seen all year

So with everything we've seen so far- Who are the top 4 favorites In the big and small divisions. 8th grade Big- Highlands Summit View St. Pius? Ockermans? Small- Beechwood RA Jones Newport Bracken Cty I haven't seen many play thus far but wondered who the early favorites might be.

I can't remember the name of the stud Oendleton had last year I believe he was only an 8th graders. Is he still playing for them?

Galan Cody Very raw first organized basketball really... Todd Humphrey is putting together nice program at RA. I was told by an Ockermans parent when he was there he went to 3 straight Championships so that would make 4 out of the last 5. That's impressive

If RAs big Forward makes half his layups would of been a different story but still was a great 8th grade game very impressive performance and I thought officials were great really let them play.

Two good games over at Jones tonight Seventh grade – 42 to 39 Ockerman Eighth grade – 44 to 39 Ockerman Gym was packed was a great game both games came down to the wire some really special players from both teams.

This is why I think the top two seeds after the Small tourney should get bids in the Big tourney. I think it would be possible
