I would love to see Highlands play this team, just so the Birds can paste 60+ on them.

I Don't Think Gov Beshear Understands This "Gay" Thing
Elmer replied to Clyde's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
It's all about tolerance and open-mindedness, a quality that stereotypical Republicans refuse to have. Just because somebody lives a lifestyle you don't agree with doesn't mean you deny them their rights as the homophobes want to do. Obama has tried to work with Republicans, even had dinner with them a few times. Heck, I bet Obama would have posted Reagan-like election numbers if the south didn't like him because of his race. And I'll add, I think Beshear is putting your party through the ringer. He's defending the ban but is a long time supporter of gay rights. Second, he hired a firm from EKY out of all places to defend the ban. Thus, he could have gone with a bigger, more well-known law firm. Plus, the argument...he's not going to win with that. -

Notice how all the bigoted, homophobic Republicans are nice and quiet in this thread? -
No, when you want to deny someone their rights, you are a hateful, intolerant bigot. Which seems to be the case on the right wing. It's all about small government until you want to deny someone their rights. Thankfully, the people spoke in 2012 that bigotry is a thing of the past!

How? Because I exposed false information?

It's a shame that Steve Beshear went down the path of bigotry this time. -

Bottom line is - kids should be taught how to win until they hit the real world. Thus, at least everybody makes the playoffs and if the bad teams lose then they lose. But at least they get equal opportunity.

Real simple, you just have to say something about the person that posted above you. Since I have started it I don't have anyone so I can't say anything. Great way for everybody to learn more about each other. NEXT!

One of the links come from a Tea Party website and the other comes from a Gun Lobby group. Therefore, your argument is invalid. Anything that discriminates.

Google it. And to respond to other posters as well, The Salvation Army and Chick Fil-A hate gay people. It's ashame and an embarrassment. Honestly, I would like to see congress find a way to severely fine those who are against civil rights. Anybody who wants to deny somebody their rights...I just don't know how they could look at themselves in the mirror.

Seattle raises minimum wage to $15 dollars per hour
Elmer replied to Elmer's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
Nice posts by those of you above, but I still don't see the reason to punish the poor and let them keep getting poorer. -
Prove to me that Chick Fil-A doesn't support hatred and bigotry.

Thank you for the respectful and non-offensive response, I would still like to know your plan for evening the income gap though. Could you please provide some insight into that? -
Given by the intolerance, you could easily lump it in.

Patriotic Shirts banned on Cinco De Mayo by school

I sense a lot of racism and bigotry in this thread. -
Yes. Many people are wanting the Salvation Army to be recognized as a hate group.

Do you support bigotry? I highly, highly doubt you do, so wouldn't you want that regulated?
